Carnation

The garden carnation is making a comeback in Czech flower beds, and we couldn't be happier about it. Growing them from seeds is surprisingly rewarding. If you start sowing in early winter, the plants will reward you with a flood of blooms that very same year, so there's no need for long waits. Even though varieties grown from seeds often have slightly smaller flowers, they make up for it with a rich range of shades. You'll get plants in delicate powdery, salmon, and pure white tones, perfect for bouquets or adding life to your garden. Plus, the flowers have a pleasant scent and stay fresh in a vase for many days. Propagating from seeds is often the best path to success with these plants. To ensure your seedlings thrive, just master the basic rules on how to sow tiny seeds beforehand. Once planted outside, strong seedlings will quickly take root and bloom.
