Bluebell

The Bluebell is a rewarding spring bulb that thrives in semi-shady spots in the garden. In the wild, it grows in light deciduous forests, so it will do best under tree canopies or near deciduous shrubs. From each bulb, a cluster of fresh leaves and a single stem with delicate flowers emerge, blooming throughout May and June. The beauty of these plants is that in the right spot, they easily multiply on their own through daughter bulbs and seeds. Over time, they create dense colonies that require almost no further care. Just make sure they have standard, well-draining soil that doesn't dry out too much in the spring. In the garden, Bluebells combine well with other types of spring flowers. You can plant them wherever you plan to grow tulips or daffodils. Together, they will create a colourful display that beautifully captures the spring awakening of your garden.
