Crocus Ard Schenk
The 'Ard Schenk' crocus is a messenger of approaching spring, and its pure white flowers can brighten up the garden at a time when most other plants are still fast asleep. Small plants reaching a height of only about ten centimeters grow from the bulbs in early spring. The 'Ard Schenk' variety stands out with beautiful white flowers with a radiant yellow center, which open with the first rays of the sun. In the garden, this crocus is excellent for naturalizing under deciduous shrubs and trees, but also for use in meadows and lawns, where it willingly forms rich carpets of flowers over time. Despite its low stature, it can create an incredible visual effect, especially when planted in larger groups. It also finds its place in spring planters or small rock gardens. Early flowering also represents a very important source of the first food for bees, bumblebees, and other insects waking up after a long winter. Crocuses in general bring freshness to the awakening garden, and the 'Ard Schenk' variety beautifully complements colorful spring compositions with its pure elegance.
