When dried, they look the same. However, the fresh purple honesty pods are dark green with a hint of burgundy. A classic dried flower, our grandmothers had gardens full of honesty. It blooms in spring, just like Dame's Rocket or Columbine, but the flowers are not suitable for cutting. It's worth waiting, and in summer you can harvest the first fruits. Honesty creates seeds wrapped in beautiful oval, disc-like pods. We recommend harvesting them green too, they look beautiful in bouquets! For drying, harvest the pods from which the seed casings are naturally falling off. Simply hang them upside down in a dry, ventilated place, away from direct sunlight.
