White lace flower

At first glance, Orlaya resembles a flowering carrot, but its outer petals are significantly larger. The entire flower looks like it was stitched from delicate white lace. It beautifully lightens up dense garden beds, and for us, it is one of our favorite cut flowers. It grows on sturdy, long stems, making it very easy to work with in vases. In bouquets, it acts as an airy filler that lets larger flowers stand out. If you don't cut it back and let it fade, the flower head transforms into interesting decorative seed pods that also look lovely in dried arrangements. You can easily grow this low-maintenance annual yourself. It is ideal to start in early spring and check out how to sow, or you can try direct sowing into the flower bed during warmer months. It thrives best in full sun.
