Lepidium sativum
The cress blooms beautifully and delicately, and after flowering, it forms wonderful tiny 'coins' on its stems and is suitable for drying! It's the same type of cress used for sprouting, so you can use it in both ways! The basic type of cress is also the shortest of all in our assortment. But don't worry, it's long enough for cutting!
For drying, we harvest the cress when the stem is firm with mature 'coins'. For a beautiful golden color, don't delay drying too long, otherwise the color will turn gray. Simply hang them upside down in a dry, ventilated place, away from direct sunlight.
