Cress Fine Curled, Loukykvět
Cress Fine Curled, Loukykvět

Lepidium sativum

Cress Fine Curled

The cress blooms beautifully and delicately, and after flowering, it forms wonderful tiny 'coins' on its stems and is suitable for drying! It's the same type of cress used for sprouting, so you can use it in both ways! The leaves are wavy. For drying, we harvest the cress when the stem is firm with mature 'coins'. For a beautiful golden color, don't delay drying too long, otherwise the color will turn gray. Simply hang them upside down in a dry, ventilated place, away from direct sunlight. Show full description

An interesting name and an unusual flower resembling a bride's veil. The abundant blooms on their stems invite you to divide them into several smaller vases and adorn your windowsill. They fade quickly, so we recommend several successive sowings. You'll harvest 3-4 stems from one plant.

The cress blooms beautifully and delicately, and after flowering, it forms wonderful tiny 'coins' on its stems and is suitable for drying! It's the same type of cress used for sprouting, so you can use it in both ways! The basic type of cress is also the shortest of all in our assortment. But don't worry, it's long enough for cutting! For drying, we harvest the cress when the stem is firm with mature 'coins'. For a beautiful golden color, don't delay drying too long, otherwise the color will turn gray. Nigella damascena

A classic among Nigellas, a rich sky-blue shade. Nigella is a spring beauty, but its fruits are also excellent for harvesting, so it will last in the flowerbed until summer.

Delphinium consolida

Larkspurs are spring beauties that are unparalleled. But if you want to harvest them for cut flowers, you must be vigilant and harvest quickly before all the buds open. Especially in the warm springs of recent years, they fade quickly, so we sow several batches 14 days apart to even manage the harvest. Delphinium QIS Light Pink is a beautiful, very light shade of warm pink. From one plant, you'll harvest one thicker main stem and 4-5 smaller side shoots.

Orlaya likes low temperatures, so it's a purely spring and autumn beauty. It adds a fresh and airy effect to all bouquets, and the same goes for garden beds. The flowers are composed of individual tiny florets resembling lace, which is why we use it instead of baby's breath. "Casablanca" is a larger Orlaya, the plants are taller and more robust, the stems firmer, and it doesn't fade as quickly. Nevertheless, we recommend multiple sowings rather than just one.

Helichrysum bracteatum

This one has been with us for a long time. Light pink combined with creamy white. Each flower has a different distribution and combination of these two colors. Strawflower is a classic from grandma's garden and an evergreen for dried flowers. We love using them for wedding arrangements because they don't wilt. Perfect for corsages, wreaths, and boutonnieres.

Summer stock is a fantastic cut flower! It loves cool temperatures, and we can still grow three batches a year – two in spring and one in autumn. You'll harvest only one flower per plant, but it will be a truly large, fully double bloom. Stock has a wonderfully intoxicating scent and lasts a long time in a vase. The flowers are edible. Katz series is not as susceptible to temperature changes and is generally easier for beginner gardeners to grow. However, this comes at the cost of thinner stems and a smaller proportion of double-flowered specimens. Katz Apricot is the most beautiful shade of skin-tone apricot. All stocks have some plants with double flowers and some with single. The proportion varies with each series. Katz has 55-60% double-flowered plants. Therefore, we recommend growing a bit more. But here on our farm, we also use the single ones; they are super unique.

Cultivation

PŘÍMÝ VÝSEV

U řeřichy doporučujeme přímý výsev přímo na záhon. Sejeme ven, jakmile půda rozmrzne a dá se s ní pracovat. U nás na farmě už v březnu. Zakryjeme lehce zeminou. Udržujeme vlhké a jakmile mají rostliny první opravdové lístky, můžeme vyjednotit.

PŘEDPĚSTOVÁNÍ

Sejeme 4-6 týdnů před posledními mrazy. Zakryjeme lehce substrátem. Po otužení můžeme vysazovat ven i před posledními mrazy.

Doporučujeme oporu!
