Snowberry

The snowberry is no longer just an ordinary shrub from city parks. For us, it represents a valuable source of autumn beauty for vases and outdoor plantings. The modern varieties you will find here have been bred specifically for florists. They have straight, sturdy stems that hold rich clusters of round berries and will last for many days in a vase. In the garden, you can use these hardy shrubs in several ways. They fit perfectly into shrub groups, blend well into mixed beds alongside taller perennials, and you can even create very nice low hedges with them. They grow quickly, and in the autumn, when most of the garden is losing its color, they literally brighten up with a flood of white, pink, or red berries. Moreover, snowberries are very low-maintenance, handle both sun and partial shade well, and will even forgive you for less regular watering.
