It decorates flowerbeds not only with white flowers but also with striking dark green leaves. In spring, it needs plenty of space and time to sprout. Ideally, you can combine it with early bulbs that will fill the empty space. From August to September, it creates upright inflorescences full of tiny flowers, which are excellent for cutting into late summer bouquets. The 'Silver Dance' cultivar grows to a height of eighty centimeters, stands out with its compact growth, and blooms truly very long and tirelessly.

Bugbane 'Black Negligee' is a charming and very long-lived perennial that will bring an interesting play of colors and textures to the shady corners of the garden. In its original homeland, it grows on the edges of forests and in the undergrowth of East Asia, so it thrives best in partial to full shade and in moist, loamy soil rich in humus. From the delivered grown seedling in a pot, after transplanting to a flower bed, a robust plant reaching well over a meter in height will grow. It captivates mainly with its striking dark brownish-burgundy leaves, which form a perfect contrast for other shade-loving species. In spring, bugbane needs plenty of time to sprout into its full beauty, so we recommend combining it with spring bulbs such as snowdrops or daffodils. From August to September, tall stems with clusters of tiny white flowers grow from the dark clumps, which smell pleasantly and reliably attract bees and other pollinators.
