Ideally, we therefore combine it with bulbous plants – snowdrops and daffodils. Black Negligee has strikingly dark brown-wine leaves. It is great for contrasting combinations in semi-shaded corners of the garden. It stands out with vigorous growth.

The Obedient plant is a native plant of the eastern regions of North America, where it grows on river banks and wet meadows. It forms upright, bushy clumps that spread to the surroundings via root runners. The flowers have the shape of a slender spike with four rows of tubular flowers and resemble Snapdragon flowers. We harvest as soon as the first flowers in the inflorescence open; they continue to bloom in the vase. In a bouquet, they are a suitable accompaniment for Dahlias and last 10–14 days in a vase. Interesting, and usable for drying too, are the spent spikes with seeds. Obedient plant Rosea has light pink flowers and spreads well.

Star Frost is a pure white form of the banat globe thistle; it grows relatively compactly, with flowers about the size of a golf ball. Cultivation
Ploštičník dokáže prosperovat ve stínu i polostínu, ale potřebuje k tomu vlhkou půdu bohatou na živiny. Ocení chladnější místo s vlhkým vzduchem, což dokonale napodobuje jeho původní lesní domovinu. Jelikož vám doručíme již předpěstovanou sazenici, můžete ji vysadit přímo na trvalkový záhon. Před samotnou výsadbou doporučujeme půdu důkladně prokypřit a obohatit o vyzrálý kompost, protože rostlina miluje humózní a hlinitou zeminu. Spon volte větší, ideálně 45 až 60 centimetrů od sebe, což odpovídá zhruba třem až čtyřem rostlinám na metr čtvereční. Tento prostor je klíčový pro zdravý růst, neboť ploštičník v dospělosti dorůstá úctyhodné výšky 120 až 150 centimetrů a vytváří mohutné trsy. Širší spon navíc zajišťuje dobrou cirkulaci vzduchu kolem listů.
Během vegetační sezóny je nejdůležitější péčí zajištění dostatečné a pravidelné zálivky. Rostlina je náročná na vláhu a její kořenový bal by neměl nikdy zcela přeschnout, zvláště během horkých letních dnů. Zákazníci se často ptají na pěstování v nádobě nebo velkém truhlíku na stinné terase. Pokud se pro tuto variantu rozhodnete, dodržujte několik základních pravidel:
- Zvolte opravdu objemný a hluboký květináč pro rozvoj mohutných kořenů.
- Zajistěte kvalitní hlinitý substrát smíchaný s kompostem.
- V nádobě bude rostlina vyžadovat mnohem častější kontrolu vlhkosti.
- Pravidelně doplňujte živiny organickým hnojivem, protože substrát se rychleji vyčerpává.
Obrovskou výhodou této dlouhověké trvalky je její absolutní nenáročnost na ochranu – je zcela bez chorob a škůdců. Z tohoto pohledu je pěstování ideální i pro úplné začátečníky. Koncem léta vás odmění bílými květy, které můžete sklízet do vázy. S příchodem zimy není nutná žádná ochrana, trvalka je extrémně mrazuvzdorná až do -34 °C. Na podzim nechte listy přirozeně zatáhnout a teprve brzy na jaře odumřelé stonky seřízněte těsně u země, čímž podpoříte zdravé rašení. Při veškeré manipulaci však mějte na paměti, že je celá rostlina jedovatá, proto raději používejte zahradnické rukavice.

This species of sage originally comes from the steppe regions of Central and Eastern Europe. It forms profusely flowering small clumps with straight upright stems. In flower beds, it looks best in groups. Traditionally, due to the identical flowering time, it is planted as a companion to roses. However, it will look just as good in mixed drought-loving steppe plantings with grasses. It lasts 7 days in a vase. The cultivar Caradonna stands out with a long flowering period and dark, almost black-purple stems with tiny purple flowers and dark purple bracts. If we cut it back after flowering, it will bloom again in late August and September.

Some of them are an irresistible attraction for cats, caused by the hallucinogen nepetalactone. This should be present in the highest amount in the species Nepeta cataria. Conversely, lemon-scented catmints reportedly do not attract cats. The botanical name Nepeta likely comes from the name of the ancient Etruscan city Nepet - Nepi in the territory of today's Italian province of Viterbo, where the plant was once cultivated. Nepeta racemosa naturally grows on dry meadows and rocky, stony slopes from the Caucasus to Central Asia. It has aromatic grey-green leaves and forms a tufted semi-spherical bush. Walker’s Low got its name after an Irish estate where it was bred in 1970. It has the most intense blue-violet flower coloration.
