Cultivation
Perovskie lebedolistá je naprosto nenáročný polokeř, kterému se bude nejlépe dařit, pokud na něj tak trochu zapomenete. Od nás dostanete krásně prokořeněnou sazenici, kterou můžete rovnou vysadit na záhon. Zásadní je pro ni výběr správného stanoviště. Miluje horké a plně slunné místo, které simuluje její domovské drsné asijské stepi. Půda by měla být ideálně chudá, velmi dobře propustná a písčitá nebo dokonce kamenitá. Spon výsadby volte zhruba 60 až 80 centimetrů, což odpovídá jedné až třem rostlinám na metr čtvereční. Rostliny tak budou mít dostatek prostoru a vzduchu, aby se mohly plně rozvinout do své přirozené výšky okolo 120 centimetrů. Vyhněte se těžkým a přemokřeným půdám, kde by mohly kořeny uhnívat.
Co se týče zálivky a hnojení, perovskie je ztělesněním skromnosti. Po úspěšném zakořenění na záhonu si hravě poradí s dlouhodobým suchem a vystačí si jen s naprostým minimem vláhy. Přemíra vody a živin jí naopak vyloženě škodí. V příliš výživné půdě rostlina ztrácí svou stabilitu, nevzhledně se vytahuje, křehne a trsy se mohou rozklesávat. Proto ji zásadně nepřihnojujte, udrží si tak pevný tvar a nebude potřebovat žádnou oporu. Obrovskou výhodou je také její vysoká odolnost – spolehlivě se jí vyhnou běžní škůdci i choroby, takže nemusíte řešit žádné postřiky a můžete se jen těšit z jejích voňavých, stříbřitě šedých listů a jedlých modrofialových květů.
Zimování tohoto polokeře je snadné, protože bez problémů odolá mrazům v zóně 5a, tedy až do minus osmadvaceti stupňů. Její jedinou velkou slabinou je zimní vlhko. Proto je u výsadby tak důležitá dobře propustná půda, kde se v zimě nebude držet voda. Na podzim rostlinu v žádném případě nestříhejte. Její stříbřité stonky zajistí na záhonu krásný zimní efekt a horní část keře navíc přirozeně ochrání střed rostliny před mrazem. K radikálnímu zmlazovacímu řezu přistupte až na jaře. Tehdy celou rostlinu seřízněte těsně nad zemí, díky čemuž perovskie brzy znovu silně obrazí a zhoustne.
Pokud nemáte zahradu, můžete perovskii snadno pěstovat i ve větší nádobě na slunné terase nebo balkonu. U pěstování v květináči je ale naprosto klíčové zajistit dokonalý odtok přebytečné vody. Na dno nádoby proto nasypte štědrou drenážní vrstvu, například z keramzitu nebo hrubého štěrku. Jako substrát namíchejte směs obyčejné zahradní zeminy s velkým podílem písku, aby byla půda propustná a chudá na živiny. I v nádobě platí, že zálivka by měla být jen občasná.
