Veronicastrum virginicum

Culver's root 'Adoration' is a long-lived perennial that will reliably liven up the moister corners of your garden. It originally comes from the eastern part of North America, where it naturally grows in wet meadows and light forests. Therefore, it will do best here in the sun or partial shade, in well-drained and humus-rich loamy soil that does not dry out too much. You will receive an already grown seedling in a pot from us, which you simply transplant directly to the chosen spot in the flower bed. It is an exceptionally undemanding plant that does not suffer from diseases or pests and survives even severe frosts without problems. It stands out with sturdy, darkly tinted stems growing up to a height of one hundred and fifty centimeters, which require no support. During the summer, it produces enchanting upright flower spikes in light pink and lilac shades. These flowers act as a huge attraction for bees, bumblebees, and butterflies. Culver's root is also wonderfully suited for cutting into summer bouquets; in a vase, it will keep making you happy for about seven days. Although the flowers are not suitable for drying, if you do not harvest them in the flower bed, the faded seed heads will create a beautiful winter spectacle in the garden. The 'Adoration' cultivar is popular for its tidier growth, thanks to which it fits beautifully into various perennial compositions.

Veronicastrum virginicum

Veronicastrum Erica is a long-lived perennial that will enrich your garden with an interesting tiered structure and delicate colors. In the wild, it grows in the eastern part of North America, where it seeks out moister meadows and the edges of light forests. Here, it will thrive best in a sunny or semi-shady location with well-drained, humus-rich loamy soil. It likes plenty of moisture, so regular watering and soil that does not dry out are the basis for success. It will perfectly fit into country and naturally styled gardens, where it will grow without problems for many years. You will receive an already mature seedling in a pot from us, which you just need to transplant straight into the flowerbed. You don't have to worry about complex care; even beginners can easily handle growing it. The plant does not require support, even though it grows to a height of over one meter, and it easily handles even very severe frosts. Common pests avoid it, just occasionally watch out for powdery mildew if it's too humid and warm in summer without sufficient air circulation. It is a strong and resilient plant that easily finds its solid place in the garden. The Erica variety boasts dark pink buds, from which light pink flowers arranged in slender upright spikes open from July to September. These flowers act as a huge attraction for bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. The stable clumps are not cut in autumn because the bloomed seed heads hold their shape and create a beautiful winter detail, especially when covered with snow or morning frost. If you like to decorate your home, you can cut the spikes into a vase, where they will continue to bring joy for about seven days. However, these flowers are not suitable for drying, so it is better not to use them for dried arrangements.
