Skullcap

The long-lived perennial skullcap represents a great choice for greening up sunny and drier parts of the garden. Representatives of the Scutellaria genus naturally grow on sun-drenched plains with poorer, well-drained soil, from where they acquired their absolute undemanding nature and frost resistance. The 'Bumblebee Blues' variety is characterized by extremely dense growth. Already at the beginning of summer, it starts forming an unmissable flood of blue-purple flowers that bring joy until September. Skullcap does not require tying up, knows no diseases, and will reliably cozy up the edges of drought-tolerant flower beds or path borders. Try planting seven to nine plants per square meter, and in no time they will beautifully connect. For the entire season, the plant will act as a huge attraction for pollinators, so it will be beautifully alive in your flower bed. Moreover, you can taste the pure blue-purple flowers without any worries.
