Stokes' Aster

Stokesia originates from the southeastern part of North America, where it naturally grows in light pine forests on well-drained soils. In our conditions, it will thrive in a sunny, warm place in the company of drought-loving perennials. Growing in containers, which we can better protect from excessive moisture in winter, could also be an advantage. The large striking flowers resemble cornflowers and are suitable for cutting. 'Träumerei' has creamy white flowers with a soft pink tinge.
