Stokésie

Stokesia originates from the southeastern part of North America, where it naturally grows in light pine forests on well-drained soils. In our conditions, it will thrive in a sunny, warm spot and in the company of drought-loving perennials. Growing in containers could also be an advantage, as we can better protect them from excessive moisture in winter. The large, striking flowers resemble cornflowers and are suitable for cutting. This blue-flowered cultivar is named after its discoverer.
