Epilobium angustifolium
Willowherb is a robust perennial that brings the unbridled beauty of wild nature into the garden. Originally found growing in moister habitats, along streams or in forest clearings, it creates striking and abundantly blooming stands. Thanks to its height, which can reach up to one and a half meters, it is perfectly suited for the back of perennial beds or as a solitary element in natural-style plantings. Its deep pink to purple flowers open from June to September and are a literal magnet for bees and other pollinators.
The plant requires humus-rich, loamy, and well-drained soil with plenty of moisture, thriving best in full sun or light partial shade. Its long inflorescences are also suitable for cutting into a vase, where they look highly decorative.
