Solidago rugosa

Goldenrod Fireworks

A native North American species. Exceptional among other goldenrods. It has horizontally and arching stems on which fireworks of tiny bright yellow star-shaped florets gradually bloom. It spreads via short rhizomes into moderate clumps. It never spreads invasively by seeds. This is its great advantage verified by long-term testing.
