Classic basil flavor and dark, dark leaves. 'Dark Opal' is an interesting basil variety, with burgundy-purple flowers. We grow basil for bouquets, but every basil variety in our offer can also be used for cooking. In bouquets, it looks unique and functions directly as an edible flower. If you plan to harvest for cutting, allow the stems to harden and harvest in the morning.
