Classic basil taste and dark, dark leaves. Dark Opal is an interesting variety among basils; the flowers are wine-purple. We grow basil for bouquets, but every basil item in our range can also be used for cooking. It looks unique in bouquets and doubles as an edible flower. If you plan to harvest for cut flowers, let the stems become woody and harvest in the morning.
