Orach

Garden Orach might sound like a common weed at first, but for us, it’s a big favorite. This undemanding plant can grow up to two meters tall in the flowerbed, so it reliably fills empty spaces and adds beautiful volume to your plantings. Plus, it likes to self-seed in the garden without you having to worry about it taking over the whole area. Cultivation is easy, and you can handle it playfully via direct sowing right into the soil. During the summer, you can use the orach in fresh bouquets, where its leaves and structure perfectly complement other flowers. But the main thing comes at the end of the season when the colorful seeds mature on the stems. At this point, the orach is perfect for drying. Just bundle it up and hang it head-down in a dry, ventilated place away from direct sunlight. You'll get great material for winter decorations.
