Statice
Statice is one of those classics you might remember from your grandmother's garden, but it's making a big comeback today. We grow them by the hundreds here because they are incredibly useful filler material for bouquets. Their tiny florets add volume and texture to any arrangement, and even when fresh, they last a really long time in a vase. Once statice is in full bloom, it basically doesn't wilt. That makes it a reliable staple for drying, winter crafting, wreaths, or boutonnieres. Once dried, the flowers beautifully retain their original colors. These plants thrive best in full sun and well-draining soil. Most varieties handle summer heat well and aren't prone to pests. Growing your own plants isn't complicated at all. Just find a bright spot for the seedlings, and they will reward you with a generous harvest of stems throughout the entire season.

Statice je klasika z babiččiny zahrady, ale i evergreen sušených květin. My statici pěstujeme po stovkách! Je děsně užitečná do kytic jako výplňový materiál a i nesušená vydrží dlouho ve váze. Jakmile všechny kvítka na stonku vykvetou, statice už nevadne a hodí se do věnečků, korsáží, vývazků. Jedna rostlina vyprodukuje minimálně 15 stonků. Na sušení sklízíme statici ve fázi, kdy je stonek pod květem pevný a má vykvetlé celé květenství. Stačí je zavěsit hlavou dolů, na suché a větrané místo, mimo sluneční paprsky.

Statice Suworova, známá jako Limonium suworowii, je nepřehlédnutelná letnička, která si okamžitě získá vaši pozornost. Její vzhled je jedinečný, protože na rozdíl od klasických static vytváří dlouhá, štíhlá a hravě zakroucená květenství. Dorůstá do výšky kolem sedmdesáti centimetrů a během celého léta zdobí záhony záplavou drobných květů v zářivých odstínech fuchsiové barvy. Tyto netradiční růžovofialové klasy se skvěle doplňují s okrasnými trávami. Vyhovuje jí plné slunce a propustná půda, kde se stává magnetem pro opylovače. V záhonu ji raději podepřete lehkou oporou.
