Xeranthemum

Strawflower is a smaller plant filled with tiny flowers about three centimeters in size, with typically papery petals. It blooms in a palette of colors ranging from cream and pure white to light pink and dusty rose, all the way to deep fuchsia. These delicate flowers stand out beautifully against a backdrop of silvery gray-green leaves. For drying, harvest in full bloom when the stem beneath the flower is firm. Simply hang them upside down in a dry, well-ventilated place, away from direct sunlight.
