Echinops niveus
The Arctic Glow globe thistle is a true jewel for lovers of unconventional perennials and structural plants. The original species naturally occurs in regions from Southern Europe through Turkey to Central Asia, where it inhabits sunny and dry slopes. Thanks to this, this plant is exceptionally hardy and undemanding to grow, which even novice gardeners will appreciate. Arctic Glow is a special selection that stands out with its large, pure white flowers. These contrast beautifully with the reddish stems and silvery-green, deeply lobed leaves. It is exactly this color contrast that gives the plant elegance even when it is not currently blooming. The flowers are excellent for cutting into fresh summer bouquets, in which they stay fresh for a very long time. If you do not harvest them from the flower bed, you can dry them and use them in winter decorations, or leave them on the plant for a winter effect, when the frosted spheres look magical in the garden.
