Jacob's ladder

The Filigree Skies Jacob's ladder instantly catches the eye with its unusually fine, deeply cut leaves that at first glance resemble ferns. This leaf structure gives the plant lightness and elegance, making it stand out even when it is not currently blooming. The original species naturally occurs in moister meadows and forest margins, so it will welcome humus-rich and well-drained soil in the garden that does not completely dry out. It is an exceptionally resilient perennial that handles even severe frosts without problems, and even a complete beginner can manage its care. From late spring, stems carrying clusters of sky-blue flowers appear above the clump of decorative leaves. These act as a lure for beneficial insects and perfectly complement colorful perennial plantings. Due to its delicate appearance, Jacob's ladder is excellently suited for country gardens or partially shaded corners. Moreover, the flowers are long-lasting even after being cut. We cut them for a vase as soon as the first buds begin to open, ideally when about a third of the inflorescence is blooming. They stay fresh in water for more than a week and bring a piece of the summer sky right into your home.

The Filigree Clouds Jacob's ladder is a charming perennial that our ancestors have been growing in gardens since the 16th century. Its leaves are arranged so regularly on the stem that it earned the common name Jacob's ladder. This specific cultivar is distinguished by its finely cut leaves, which, combined with pure white flowers, look incredibly light and fluffy in the flower bed. The plant requires humus-rich and well-drained soil that should remain slightly moist, as it doesn't do well in drought. It thrives best in partial shade, but it can handle sun if it has plenty of moisture. It blooms from May to July and reliably attracts bees and other pollinators. If you want to use it in bouquets, harvest the stems when roughly a third of the little flowers are open. It will then bring you joy in a vase for seven to ten days. It is a frost-hardy and undemanding plant suitable even for novice gardeners.
