This specific cultivar is distinguished by its finely cut leaves, which, combined with pure white flowers, look incredibly light and fluffy in the flower bed. The plant requires humus-rich and well-drained soil that should remain slightly moist, as it doesn't do well in drought. It thrives best in partial shade, but it can handle sun if it has plenty of moisture. It blooms from May to July and reliably attracts bees and other pollinators. If you want to use it in bouquets, harvest the stems when roughly a third of the little flowers are open. It will then bring you joy in a vase for seven to ten days. The original species grows in damp habitats from Europe to Siberia, making it an ideal plant for humus-rich and moister soils. If you have a spot in the garden that is not explicitly dry, Jacob's ladder will reward you with vital growth and abundant blooming. Its leaves are divided and arranged so regularly that they resemble the rungs of a ladder. This is where its common name, Jacob's ladder, comes from. During June and July, stems with pure white flowers adorned with delicate yellow stamens tower above the clumps of leaves. The White Pearl variety grows to a height of around 80 centimeters and looks very airy in perennial beds. It is perfectly suited for partially shaded areas but will also tolerate sun if provided with regular watering. The flowers are a magnet for bees and other beneficial insects. Floristically, Jacob's ladder is valuable for its longevity and decorative appearance. It handles frosts down to minus twenty-eight degrees without problems, and even complete beginners can easily handle caring for it, as it does not suffer from diseases or pests. You will get an already grown seedling in a pot from us, which you simply transplant straight into the flowerbed in sun or partial shade. It is ideal to plant the plants about half a meter apart. Here it will soon form a dense clump of green leaves, from which sturdy stems up to ninety centimeters tall emerge, and they do not need any support.
Although it is a short-lived perennial, it will make up for everything with its incredible persistence in blooming. Unlike other avens, the Totally Tangerine variety starts its blooming season a little later, but in return, it will delight you without a break from May to September. The semi-double flowers also gradually transition into a deep salmon to dark peach color and are a literal magnet for bees, bumblebees, and butterflies. Water avens is a charming native perennial that inherently belongs to moist meadows and stream banks. In the garden, it thrives best in loamy or clay soil that retains plenty of moisture. It grows excellently in both full sun and partial shade. You will receive a well-rooted seedling in a pot from us, which you simply transplant into the flower bed, where it will soon form a nice ground cover. From May to July, it blooms with semi-double flowers on stems thirty to sixty centimeters tall. They have a cup-like shape and play with pastel yellow, dusty pink, and cream shades with a purplish calyx. Unlike cultivated garden avens, it differs in the structure of its flowers, which droop on the stems like delicate little bells. The edible flowers reliably attract pollinators. Although it is a short-lived perennial, it willingly self-seeds, requires no support, and playfully handles severe frosts. Moreover, it does not suffer from diseases or pests. The faded seed heads decorate the garden even through the winter. Water avens is great for spring bouquets; we cut the stems when a quarter to a half of the flowers are open. They last a week in a vase, but they are not suitable for drying.

Tato okouzlující trvalka si zaslouží čestné místo v každé zahradě, kde preferuje spíše chladnější stanoviště s vlhčím vzduchem. Ideální je sázet jirnice do polostínu, kde vynikne jejich jasně bílá barva květů a jemná textura listů. Pokud máte na zahradě pouze slunné místo, jirnice to zvládne, ale budete muset výrazně zvýšit zálivku. Půda by měla být výživná, humózní a schopná zadržet vlhkost, ale zároveň propustná. Při výsadbě dodržujte doporučený spon 40 cm. Rostliny dorůstají výšky 60 až 80 cm a potřebují svůj prostor, aby vynikly. Jelikož se rostlina ráda přesévá, můžete se časem dočkat nových semenáčků v okolí, což pomůže přirozeně zahustit výsadbu.
Jirnice je sice nenáročná na péči, ale na jednu věc je citlivá – na sucho. Pravidelná zálivka je základem úspěchu, zejména v horkých letních dnech. Pro udržení vlhkosti v půdě velmi pomáhá mulčování kolem rostliny. Co se týče škůdců a chorob, máte vyhráno, rostlina je v podstatě bezproblémová a zdravá, pouze je třeba dát pozor na slimáky, kteří si občas mohou chtít pochutnat na šťavnatých listech. Pro prodloužení doby kvetení a udržení kompaktního tvaru je velmi prospěšné po hlavním kvetení sestřihnout celé trsy. Tento radikální řez podpoří tvorbu nových, zdravých listů a často vybudí rostlinu k druhému kvetení na konci léta. Květy jsou navíc velkým lákadlem pro včely a další užitečné opylovače.
Pokud nemáte zahradu, nezoufejte. Jirnice 'Filigree Clouds' se dá úspěšně pěstovat i ve větších nádobách na balkoně či terase. Zvolte dostatečně velký květináč s otvorem pro odtok vody a použijte kvalitní substrát pro trvalky obohacený o kompost. V nádobě rostlina nemá možnost sáhnout si kořeny hlouběji pro vodu, proto ji kontrolujte každý den. Zima pro tuto rostlinu nepředstavuje žádný problém, je extrémně mrazuvzdorná (až do -40 °C), takže ji můžete nechat venku celoročně bez obav z vymrznutí. Jedná se o trvalku, která sice není vyloženě dlouhověká, ale díky své odolnosti a schopnosti se obnovovat vám bude dělat radost po mnoho sezón.
