Toadflax

Springside White is a gorgeous white-flowered form of toadflax that will brighten any sunny garden. This delicate-looking perennial features upright, thin stems that reach a height of up to 80 cm. Even though it looks subtle, it does not need staking and bravely withstands the wind. Its homeland is the warm and dry slopes of Southern Europe, which is why it will appreciate full sun and well-drained soil in your garden as well. It is an ideal plant for beginners because it doesn't suffer from diseases or pests and can handle less care. Tiny white flowers appear on the plant in long, slender spikes, blooming continuously throughout the summer and into the autumn. Thanks to this, the plant is constantly surrounded by insects that love it. In garden architecture, it is used to lighten up compositions with perennials that have large and heavy flowers, essentially acting as a delicate veil. Although it is a short-lived perennial, you don't have to worry about losing it. It very willingly self-seeds, maintaining its presence in the same spot for many years. The flowers are also excellent for cutting into a vase, where they stay fresh for up to two weeks.
