Lnice Linaria purpurea 'Canon Went' je rostlina, která vám i přes svůj křehký vzhled odpustí mnoho začátečnických chyb, pokud jí dopřejete to nejdůležitější – slunce a propustnou půdu. Sazenice, které od nás obdržíte, vysazujte na plně osluněné a teplé stanoviště, kde se plně projeví jejich potenciál. Půda by měla být spíše chudší, hlinitá až písčitá a hlavně dokonale odvodněná. Pokud máte na zahradě těžkou jílovitou zeminu, je nezbytné do výsadbové jámy přimíchat písek nebo drobný štěrk, aby voda rychle odtékala. Při výsadbě dodržujte spon přibližně 30 cm, což odpovídá zhruba 11 rostlinám na metr čtvereční. Tento rozestup zajistí dostatečnou cirkulaci vzduchu mezi jemnými stonky a nechá vyniknout vertikálnímu charakteru rostliny.
Co se týče péče během sezóny, lnice je velmi skromná. Zálivku vyžaduje pouze mírnou; jakmile sazenice dobře zakoření, stává se rostlina značně tolerentní vůči suchu. Přemokření je pro ni mnohem nebezpečnější než nedostatek vláhy, proto zalévejte až ve chvíli, kdy je půda suchá. Velkou výhodou tohoto kultivaru je absence běžných chorob i škůdců. Aby vám lnice kvetla opakovaně od června až do října, doporučujeme v polovině léta provést zpětný řez odkvetlých stonků. Tento zásah podpoří tvorbu nových poupat a rostlina si zachová kompaktnější tvar. Květy jsou navíc skvělé k řezu do vázy, kde vydrží až dva týdny, takže stříhání můžete spojit s tvorbou domácí výzdoby.
Zimování lnice vyžaduje trochu pozornosti směrem k vlhkosti. Ačkoliv je mrazuvzdorná až do -23 °C (zóna 6a), jejím úhlavním nepřítelem není mráz, ale zimní vlhko. V těžších půdách v zimě uhnívá. Pokud ji pěstujete na vhodném propustném stanovišti, přezimuje bez problémů bez nutnosti zakrývání. Pamatujte, že se jedná o krátkověkou trvalku, která na jednom místě vydrží jen pár let. Rostlina se však na stanovišti spolehlivě udržuje sama pomocí samovýsevu. Pokud chcete lnici pěstovat v nádobě, je to možné, ale volte květináč s drenážními otvory a na dno dejte vrstvu keramzitu. Calamint
An undemanding and modest perennial that blooms with a large number of tiny flowers. It blooms for a record-breaking length of time throughout late summer and autumn. It forms smaller, compact, airy bushes that release a minty-spicy scent. The thyme-like flowers attract bees, bumblebees, and butterflies. It will look good among roses as well as in naturalistic steppe beds, perhaps with lower grasses. This calamint is generally more vigorous. It differs from other calamints with felted leaves by its record flowering length, stiff and shiny leaves, and also a larger number of flowers that do not form seeds and are therefore maximally durable. Sometimes sold under the cultivar name 'Triumphator'.
