Cinquefoil

Cinquefoil is a grateful perennial whose wild ancestors come from the mountainous regions of the western Himalayas. Although it is a smaller plant, it can make quite an impression in the garden. Its delicate flowers attract pollinators and give the space a relaxed, natural look. There used to be a great number of garden varieties cultivated by enthusiastic breeders. Many of them haven't survived to this day, but thankfully, the most resilient and interesting ones have found their way into our gardens. Cinquefoil is perfect for mixed perennial beds, where it seamlessly fills the space between taller species. It is a plant that enjoys sunny locations and well-drained soil. It does not require complex care and handles dry periods well, too. It will settle into the flower bed all on its own and bring you joy year after year without you having to fuss over it too much.
