In a vase, freshly cut stems stay beautiful for a full seven days, but this flower is not suitable for drying. Although it looks very fragile, it is a hardy and long-lived perennial that requires no support and effortlessly handles even harsh frosts dropping to minus thirty-four degrees. A big advantage is that it does not suffer from pests or diseases, so even absolute beginners can easily manage growing it. During the summer and early autumn, when it blooms in loose panicles on thin purple stems, it attracts the attention of pollinators from far and wide. Its delicate stems will also serve excellently in summer bouquets. Fresh, it will last approximately seven days in a vase and add the desired volume to the arrangement. Conversely, it is not suitable for drying. Also, do not forget that the entire plant is poisonous, so handle it carefully when cutting.
