In summer, loose panicles of tiny lilac flowers with yellow stamens appear on tall purple-colored stems. The Splendide cultivar grows to a height of up to one hundred and fifty centimeters, has firm upright growth without the need for support, and dark green finely pinnate leaves. Although it is poisonous, it is excellent for cutting. It adds a delicate structure to bouquets and stays fresh in a vase for about seven days, but it is not suitable for drying. In the flowerbed, it perfectly complements more robust perennials and reliably attracts bees and other pollinators.

The Splendide White cultivar stands out with significantly larger pure white flowers with pastel yellow stamens and a firm upright habit over a meter tall, which does not need any support at all. In the flowerbed, it creates a wonderful airy lace effect, and its flowers attract a large number of pollinators. It is perfectly suited for summer bouquets, to which it reliably adds volume. In a vase, freshly cut stems stay beautiful for a full seven days, but this flower is not suitable for drying. Although the plant is poisonous, it will become a wonderful garden decoration without the worry of diseases and pests.

Although it looks very fragile, it is a hardy and long-lived perennial that requires no support and effortlessly handles even harsh frosts dropping to minus thirty-four degrees. A big advantage is that it does not suffer from pests or diseases, so even absolute beginners can easily manage growing it. During the summer and early autumn, when it blooms in loose panicles on thin purple stems, it attracts the attention of pollinators from far and wide. Its delicate stems will also serve excellently in summer bouquets. Fresh, it will last approximately seven days in a vase and add the desired volume to the arrangement. Conversely, it is not suitable for drying. Also, do not forget that the entire plant is poisonous, so handle it carefully when cutting.
