Pure splendor! Thin, sturdy stems with umbel inflorescences resembling dill at their ends. On each stem, there are thousands of tiny blooms creating the effect of a veil or lace. This is a mix of colors, where some flowers are pure white, while most are chocolate to burgundy with a touch of white, sometimes even pink.

Cosmos are an absolute classic and a matter of the heart for us! In the past, we cut them by hundreds of stems on the farm and our customers, especially brides, literally loved them for their lightness and elegance. While common cosmos mainly offer a white and deep pink palette, 'Apricotta' brings a completely new and fresh color tone to the flowerbeds. It is a unique combination of light pink and the lightest salmon, which looks incredibly tender and original. The flowers have a silky appearance and gently sway in the wind, which adds pleasant dynamics to the garden.

Cosmos belongs among the most used items on our farm. And Rubenza is one of the most beautiful. Warm burgundy color, the petals have a brush-stroke texture on the underside. It is a color that is currently trendy in wedding floristry, so we never have any left in the flower bed. One plant produces at least 12 stems.

A muted, slightly ashy white. Nigella is a spring beauty, but its pods are also great for harvesting, so it lasts in the flowerbed until summer.

A novelty in the Queen Lime series. Blotch is a lime green shade. The flowers are large, up to 10 cm, surrounded by many petals, giving a double-flowered appearance. Moving towards the center, the petals get smaller and end up unopened at the center, creating a frosted cupcake effect. No other Zinnia compares!

Pale pink, delicate lace. Didiscus has a strange name, but it is a great beauty similar to Ammi or ornamental carrot. Flowers are disc-shaped with tiny florets. Didiscus finishes blooming faster, similar to Ammi or ornamental carrot, so we recommend multiple successional sowings. It likes warmth, so it can be sown even in summer.

An evergreen favorite at the flower market! Sea Holly is a perennial; it lasts for several years in the flowerbed and spreads beautifully. The "flowers" and leaves are slightly prickly; it does look like a miniature thistle after all. The stems and tops are silvery blue. And mature, bloomed Sea Holly doesn't wilt, making it great for drying, wreaths, and similar uses. For drying, harvest when the thistles are colored blue and the stem below the thistle is firm. Just hang them upside down in a dry, ventilated place, out of sunlight.

Ammi likes low temperatures, so it is purely a spring and autumn beauty. It adds a fresh and airy effect to all bouquets, and the same applies to the flower bed. The flowers are composed of individual tiny florets resembling lace, which is why we use it instead of baby's breath. 'Casablanca' is a larger Ammi; the plants are taller and more robust, the stems stronger, and it doesn't fade as quickly. Still, we recommend sowing more than once.

A novelty among Scabiosas! This piece is from the QIS series, meaning a quality, bred variety. But that's not all; the color shade is also great. It is not black like the Scabiosa Black Purple, but a red wine, burgundy shade. And just like the others, the open flowers each have a white pistil, creating a sugared effect.

Shades of raspberry, compote, and sugared white. A big favorite of ours! Cornflower is a garden classic, and Cornflowers of the Classic series are real troopers! Strong, straight stems ensure excellent cut flower quality.

Delicate white lace. Didiscus has a peculiar name, but it is a real beauty, similar to Ammi or ornamental carrot. The blooms are disc-shaped with tiny florets. Didiscus finishes blooming relatively quickly, much like Ammi or ornamental carrot, so we recommend succession sowing. It likes warmth, so it can even be sown in summer.

The Cresto series has mostly double, scabious-flowered blooms. Orange is colored in a warm, tangerine orange; the centers are brown to burgundy. We think it's a beautiful autumn shade!

Different textures and flower sizes fit well into a flower bed. And Scabiosa is a great candidate! Small flowers the size of a coin, straight stems with a basal rosette, and individual buds resembling beads. QIS Dark Blue is a shade of light blue or violet.

Smaller flowers, but fully double! Soft, light powder shades, the center of the flower is wine-colored, which makes this Zinnia a great companion for any burgundy arrangement!

The lightest powder pink. A very trendy color, you will use it essentially in the arrangement of any wedding. Snapdragons of the Costa series bloom at the same time as the Maryland Snapdragon; they are early varieties suitable for lower temperatures. Their advantage lies in special shades like apricot or powder pink.

Černucha damašská pochází z oblasti Středozemí a severní Afriky a v našich zahradách zdomácněla už před staletími. Kultivar Miss Jekyll Rose přináší romantickou náladu díky svým netradičním květům v odstínech malinové, fuchsiové a čistě bílé barvy. Jemně stříhané listy připomínají kopr a dodávají celé rostlině úžasně vzdušný vzhled. Tato nenáročná letnička dorůstá výšky padesát až sto centimetrů a na záhonu vytváří husté porosty. Nejlépe se jí daří na slunci nebo v polostínu s běžnou zálivkou. Z výsevů přímo na záhon během jarních měsíců nebo na sklonku léta vyroste spolehlivě a brzy vás potěší záplavou květů, které kvetou od května do srpna. Černucha je naprosto ideální k řezu do letních kytic, kde její plné květy vydrží svěží mnoho dní. Skvělou službu udělá i po odkvětu. Její nafouklé měchýřkovité semeníky s vínovým pruhováním jsou vysoce ceněné pro sušení do zimních aranžmá. Stačí je ustřihnout a zavěsit hlavičkou dolů. Květy jsou navíc plné nektaru a pravidelně na ně usedají včely a další užiteční opylovači.

A Poppy with black centers, similar to anemones. In terms of color, it is a mix of marbled shades ranging from white through red and pink to burgundy. We have been growing poppies since the early days of Loukykvět, and this year we are returning to them. The Poppy needs more care as a cut flower and does not last as long in a vase. But! It is such a beauty that it is worth it anyway. Here is our guide for poppies. We harvest buds that have just cracked open. It is enough if you see a crack on the bud and the color inside. The Poppy has only a few petals, so it takes just a moment to open. Freshly trim the ends and scald them in hot water (just boil water and use immediately), or sear the ends with a flame. The heat helps the Poppy open pathways for water absorption so it won't wilt. We arrange freshly opened pieces or buds into bouquets, expecting the Poppy to open during the day. If you plan to sow poppies just for pleasure in the flower bed, none of this is necessary, of course :). For drying, we harvest matured poppy heads, roughly from mid-July. Just hang them upside down in a dry and ventilated place, out of direct sunlight.

✨ Color mix created at Loukykvět ✨ A heavenly mix of Cornflowers in a white and blue combination. White flowers add lightness and purity, while blue shades add depth. The Cornflower packet contains a larger amount of seeds because we recommend direct sowing straight into the bed. This often entails worse conditions, which leads to a significantly lower number of resulting plants. That is why the packet is so big :)

Knautia macedonica is an abundantly and long-flowering undemanding perennial. Its wild form originates from the Balkans, where it grows in meadows and scrubland. It enchants in flower beds with slender, tall stems bearing pastel burgundy and pink flowers. Suitable for naturalistic sunny to semi-shady beds and meadow bouquets.
