Celosia
Celosia is exactly the kind of plant that gives every bouquet an unusual texture. We often say it is neither greenery nor a classic flower, but rather that finishing touch that brings the whole arrangement to life. Whether it comes in the form of tiny pointed spikes or large fluffy plumes, it always reliably grabs attention in a vase. We really love it here because it is also excellent for drying. If you want to save some color for your winter arrangements, Celosia holds its shape beautifully. Plus, the plants produce strong, straight stems that are very easy to work with when arranging flowers. It is a heat-loving annual that you can easily grow from seeds. In the garden bed, it appreciates a sunny spot and will reward you with a bountiful harvest for cutting. Throughout the season, you can look forward to a vibrant scale of colors, from fresh green and soft pink to radiant orange or deep red.

We have been growing Celosia Flamingo Feather for several years now, and it is a great and popular choice for all weddings. It is a type of wheat celosia, where the flower heads are truly small pointed spikes. When grown in a polytunnel, the color tends towards pink, while at lower temperatures, even purple shades appear. It dries wonderfully and does not wilt, making it suitable for corsages and wreaths. One plant produces one thicker stem with multiple spikes and 5-7 smaller side shoots.
