Helipterum is one of the smaller annuals, growing to a height of about 30 to 45 centimeters. Its smaller flowers have a papery texture, making them feel a bit like classic strawflowers. Because of this, they maintain their shape and color for a long time and do not wilt in floristry. The white varieties with a distinct dark center, in particular, strongly resemble popular anemones. The flowers of the Helipterum are perfect for smaller wedding decorations, wreaths, and, of course, for drying. For the best results when drying, we harvest them when they are fully open but the center has not yet started to brown.
