Eucalyptus

Eucalyptus is one of the most popular greens for cut flower bouquets and drying. Its signature scent and unmistakable silvery-green foliage make it a beautiful addition. It looks wonderful on its own in a vase or as a filler in various floral arrangements. Some varieties also surprise with a strong lemon fragrance or unusual leaf shapes. In our climate, it is primarily grown as a container plant. During the summer, you'll make it happiest by placing it on a sunny terrace or balcony, where it grows quickly in the fresh air. Before the first frosts arrive, the plant needs to be moved to a bright, frost-free space to overwinter safely. You can then use the trimmed branches to create long-lasting and fragrant home decor. If you're just getting started with this plant, we recommend checking out our article on how to grow eucalyptus. You'll find useful tips for successful growth and proper overwintering.

Eucalyptus Silver Dollar, Loukykvět
Special offer

Eucalyptus cinerea

The Silver Dollar Eucalyptus is a beautiful aromatic plant that will scent any terrace with its characteristic spicy fragrance. Originally from the sunny regions of Australia with well-drained soil, this plant thrives in such conditions. We provide a well-established seedling that you can easily transplant into a larger container. In our climate, it is grown as a portable plant, which is better suited for more advanced gardeners. It thrives in full sun outdoors during the summer, but because it only tolerates frost down to -6°C, you must bring it into a bright, frost-free room before winter. The shrub can grow up to two meters tall without support; it is free from pests and entirely disease-free. This cultivar is distinguished by its round, silvery-gray-green leaves and produces creamy flowers in June. The entire plant is poisonous. Long stems are perfect for cutting for vases, where they stay fresh for many days, and they are also excellent for drying for various floral purposes.

Eucalyptus Baby Blue, Loukykvět
Special offer

Eucalyptus pulverulenta

Eucalyptus 'Baby Blue' is a charming aromatic plant that will instantly bring the fresh atmosphere of faraway Australia to your patio. In its natural environment, it grows in sunny and drier places, which is why it requires full sun and well-draining soil in our climate as well. You will receive a fully grown potted plant from us, which just needs to be transplanted into a larger container. Growing to a height of one and a half to two meters, this species is mainly grown as a portable plant, as its frost resistance only extends to minus six degrees. During the summer, it thrives outdoors in the fresh air, but it must be moved to a bright, frost-free room before the arrival of the first frosts. The 'Baby Blue' cultivar is exceptional for its small, rounded leaves, which have a wonderful silvery gray-green color and grow densely close together along the stems. The entire plant releases a typical refreshing fragrance. In June, tiny, creamy white flowers also appear. Eucalyptus does not suffer from diseases or pests. Gardeners and florists love it because the stems are great for cutting for vases and fresh bouquets, where they stay fresh for a long time. It is particularly popular for drying for winter decorations and wreaths, as the leaves perfectly retain their unique shape and silvery color.

Lemon Eucalyptus, Loukykvět
Special offer

Eucalyptus citriodora

Lemon Eucalyptus catches the eye at first glance, not only with its interesting appearance but above all with its intense fragrance. In nature, it grows in warm, sun-drenched regions, so it will appreciate as much light as possible and well-drained soil in your garden as well. We will send you a well-established potted seedling, which is ideal for transplanting into a larger container to create a decoration for your outdoor seating area. It is most commonly used as a portable potted plant that benefits from spending the summer on sunny terraces and balconies. The eucalyptus is grown primarily for its fragrant green leaves. They have an elongated shape and release a strong lemon scent at the slightest touch. During the season, it can grow up to two meters tall and produces delicate white flowers in June. Growing it requires intermediate skills, but the reward will be a plant completely free of pests and diseases. Keep in mind that this is a poisonous species. Lemon Eucalyptus is not fully frost-hardy and can only withstand short-term temperature drops to -6°C. Before the first frosts, it should be moved to a frost-free, bright space where it will safely survive until the following spring. If you enjoy flower arranging, you will get the most out of its stems. Cut sprigs look great in fresh bouquets and add a unique texture. They are also suitable for drying for winter arrangements, as the leaves hold their shape well and continue to be fragrant even after drying.
