Aster Twilight. A tender beauty for partial shade. It willingly forms dense covers, and even conditions unfavorable for many other species do not discourage it. It does not mind competition from tree roots, or even drought. It is a hybrid of original North American species and is newly classified by botanists in the genus Eurybia. However, it is often offered in nurseries under the name Aster macrophyllus. Either way, in this seemingly delicate plant, gardeners gain a tough ally in the fight against weeds in difficult places.

Aster divaricatus

The Eastern Star White wood aster is a reliable perennial originating from North American forest clearings and forest edges. It thrives best in partial shade to shade, where it will appreciate ordinary well-draining and loamy soil. It is perfect for planting under mature trees because it deals surprisingly well with the competition from their roots. You will receive an already grown seedling in a pot from us, ready to be transplanted. It soon forms dense clumps of fresh green leaves and dark wiry stems. Despite its dense growth, it looks delicate and airy. During August and September, it blooms with a flood of white flowers with fewer petals, which bring light into shady corners and reliably attract bees. It is an exceptionally resilient plant for beginners that does not suffer from diseases and survives even harsh frosts dropping to minus twenty-eight degrees. It serves excellently for cutting into fresh bouquets as well as for drying for floristry purposes. Furthermore, when left in the garden bed, it offers a beautiful winter effect.
