Monarda hybride

Monardas, or bee balms, originate from the eastern parts of North America. They most often grow along paths, in scrublands, and on the edges of light forests. They are honey-bearing aromatic plants, perfectly usable for cutting and in the kitchen. Pink Suprême is characterized by compact growth, and therefore it is possible to grow it even in a larger pot. The flowers are dark pink, and the leaves are aromatic.

Monarda citriodora

A beautifully scented species of Monarda, used mainly for teas. When fresh, it smells of lemons and bergamot, which is why it is called prairie bergamot. Originally a wild perennial from the USA and Mexico, it can reliably thrive here only as an annual. However, its advantage is its ability to self-seed. It is a great attraction for bees and butterflies. And it is enchanting in bouquets too.
