Meadow sage occurs in our country primarily in warmer regions, especially in warmer regions, especially in South Moravia and Northern and Central Bohemia. It grows in sunny meadows, hillsides, and along roads. Its fragrant leaves form a basal rosette, from which several less leafy, branched stems emerge. The inflorescences are composed of striking, lipped flowers that are a great attraction for bees and bumblebees. 'Rose Rhapsody' has light pink flowers.

This Phlomis grows wild in Central and Southeast Europe, and in our country, it is a critically endangered species. The stems are purple and bear rough, heart-shaped leaves. The flowers are pinkish-purple, and the dry seed capsules are also ornamental. It creates a striking decorative element even in winter. The combination with soft, loose plantings of grasses and perennials, into which Phlomis brings a strict graphic accent, is particularly impressive.

Broadleaf sea lavender, also known as Statice, is a plant originally from the steppe regions of Southern Europe. Leathery leaves form basal rosettes, from which veiled panicles of tiny, light lavender-colored flowers emerge. Perfect for bouquets; for drying, harvest when the flowers are fully colored.

Phlox, also known as garden phlox, is a native perennial of North America. It quickly gained great popularity in European gardens and has been systematically bred since the 19th century. It is a classic perennial for cutting into bouquets, where, in addition to colorful flowers, it also delights with a delicate fragrance. We harvest as soon as about half of the flowers in the inflorescence have bloomed; then it lasts up to 10 days in a vase. Despite efforts to breed the most resistant cultivars, it is still true that phlox reacts extremely sensitively to climate and soil conditions, so we carefully ensure the correct choice of location. Sternhimmel is a beautiful variety with a delicate scent and elegant florets in color transitions of light purple and white.

Oriental poppy originates from the Caucasus, Turkey, and Iran, where it grows on rocky slopes and dry meadows. It blooms with large, cup-shaped flowers on tall stems. Like all poppies, for use in bouquets, we harvest them as soon as the buds color and "burst open." Additionally, we briefly (for about 20 seconds) sear the ends of the stems with a flame and immediately place them in cold water. They then last 4 days in a vase. The noticeably fuzzy and large leaves die back shortly after flowering, and the plant must rest until spring to regain strength. Some leaves sprout again in late summer. Therefore, it is advisable to plant other perennials nearby that, on the contrary, sprout later and can draw attention during the poppy's dormant period. Royal Wedding flowers have white petals with a dark burgundy spot in the center of the flower.

An interesting tuberous perennial with flowers that bloom from the top down. This unique characteristic also gave it its secondary Czech name – shorakvět (top-flower) – as most plants bloom in the opposite direction, from bottom to top. Its unusually shaped white flowers attract bees, bumblebees, and butterflies. Also interesting for bouquets.

In plantings, it's used as a groundcover and can even be successfully grown under trees. Both the flowers and the stems with their impressive fruits are suitable for cutting. If left untrimmed in autumn, they will adorn beds throughout winter, as will the dense carpet of leaves. Phlomis is also attractive to pollinators.
