Rudbékie 'Henry Eilers' obdržíte jako kvalitní, dobře prokořeněnou sazenici, kterou můžete po rozbalení rovnou zasadit do záhonu. Nejlépe se jí bude dařit na otevřeném stanovišti, které nabízí dostatek přímého slunce. Potřebuje místo na plném slunci a propustnou hlinitou půdu, ale bez problémů si poradí i s těžší jílovitou zeminou, pokud nezadržuje přebytečnou vodu. Výsadbu doporučujeme provádět do sponu přibližně 50 centimetrů, což odpovídá třem až pěti rostlinám na metr čtvereční. Tento rozestup zajistí dostatečnou cirkulaci vzduchu mezi vzrostlými trsy. Ačkoliv jde o druh zcela odolný vůči běžným chorobám i škůdcům, vzdušnost výsadby podpoří celkovou vitalitu a pevnost více než metr vysokých stonků, které díky tomu nebudou potřebovat žádnou dodatečnou oporu.
Zálivku po výsadbě udržujte pravidelnou, dokud sazenice dobře nezakoření. Později je tato dlouhověká trvalka velmi nenáročná na údržbu. Zvládá horká léta a do jisté míry i sucho, přesto jí v dlouhých obdobích bez deště občasná zálivka prospěje. S hnojením buďte spíše opatrní. Při přemíře živin nemusí být trsy stabilní a stonky by mohly zbytečně polehávat. Pokud se rozhodnete pěstovat rudbékii v objemném květináči nebo větší nádobě na terase, zajistěte jí kvalitní drenážní vrstvu na dně a pravidelnější přísun vody. Substrát v nádobách totiž vysychá mnohem rychleji než volná půda v záhonu. I v nádobách ale platí pravidlo, že střídmé hnojení přinese kompaktnější růst a bohatší kvetení.
Rostlina kvete spolehlivě od srpna až do října a celou tuto dobu k ní budou létat včely i další opylovači. Odkvetlé tmavé středy z rostliny na podzim neodstraňujte. Tvoří nádherný zimní efekt, obzvláště když je obalí ranní námraza. Na zimu tedy nepotřebuje žádný zpětný řez ani speciální ochranu před mrazem. Její mrazuvzdornost sahá až k minus osmadvaceti stupňům, takže středoevropské zimy přečká naprosto bez potíží i bez zakrývání. Teprve brzy na jaře, ještě před rašením nových tmavě zelených listů, seřízněte všechny suché stonky těsně nad zemí. Tím uvolníte prostor pro nový růst a udržíte rostlinu v perfektní kondici pro další sezónu.

Rudbeckia, also known as coneflowers, originate from North America; they are robust and richly flowering perennials for late summer and autumn. They are suitable for prairie plantings with tall grasses as well as for country cottage gardens. The central cones look very striking even after flowering and decorate perennial beds throughout the winter. Harvest for the vase as soon as they bloom. Vase life is 7 to 10 days. The dried central cones can also be used. Missouri Coneflower (Rudbeckia missouriensis) has narrow leaves and petals. It is generally shorter and finer than the better-known *Rudbeckia fulgida*. It adapts well to weather fluctuations, handling hot and humid episodes as well as drier periods. The final height of the plants is influenced by soil and moisture conditions.

The cultivar Caradonna stands out with a long flowering period and dark, almost black-purple stems with tiny purple flowers and dark purple bracts.
