Larkspur is one of the most striking spring and summer flowers, sure to catch the eye in any garden. Its long, straight stems, densely packed with blooms, grow over a meter tall and add an interesting layer to your beds. They work wonderfully in both cottage-style and modern plantings, and they will bring you great joy in sunny spots with fertile, well-draining soil. At Loukykvět, we grow them primarily as cut flowers. If you want to use them the same way, we recommend harvesting the blooms before all the buds have opened, as they tend to fade relatively quickly. To extend the flowering season, it is worth sowing the seeds in several batches. You can try sowing annual varieties directly outdoors as direct sowing, or start seedlings by sowing into trays.
