It is a completely undemanding plant avoided by pests and diseases, and it easily survives even very severe frosts well below minus thirty degrees. Eupatorium works excellently as a striking solitary plant in the back of a flowerbed or near water features. If you like to decorate your home, you can also use its sturdy stems for cutting into summer bouquets. In the autumn, it pays off not to remove the faded inflorescences, because when covered with frost in the winter months, they create a magnificent spectacle in the flowerbed.
