Eupatorium maculatum
This robust perennial originates from the southern parts of Canada and the northern USA, where it grows in damp meadows. It forms a dense clump of strong stems. The flowers are composed into large flat inflorescences and are an irresistible attraction for bees and butterflies. In gardens, they create striking solitary features. They are long-lived and last in one spot for several decades. Baby Joe is a moderate compact cultivar of Eupatorium. Its great advantage is abundant flowering and a darker, more distinct flower color, which stands out against the background of dark green foliage.
