Meadowsweet

Meadowsweet belongs to a very diverse group of perennials that easily find their place in different parts of the garden. While some species grow naturally in moist habitats and are perfect for garden ponds or waterlogged spots, our native drought-tolerant varieties can playfully handle a lack of water in a gravel bed as well. A common feature of all meadowsweets is their fluffy inflorescence, reminiscent of colorful clouds, which have a gentle scent and attract pollinators. But it's not just about the flowers. The plants adorn the space throughout the season thanks to their deeply cut leaves, which visually resemble ferns. These are fully hardy and long-lived plants that require almost no maintenance once they have successfully taken root. We love them here at Loukykvět because they bring a natural and relaxed look to any planting scheme.
