Clustered bellflower grows wild in meadows and forest edges, predominantly on calcareous soils. Its flowers are arranged in dense clusters at the ends of upright stems. It is well suited for cutting, lasting up to 14 days in a vase. Joan Elliot has distinctively dark purple flowers; its advantage is early flowering.
