Stock Iron Rose Pink
Stock is a great flower for cutting! It likes low temperatures, even so we grow three batches a year – two in spring and one in autumn. You harvest only one flower from one plant, but a really big double-flowered one. Stock smells wonderfully, almost intoxicatingly, and lasts a long time in a vase. The flowers are edible.
The Iron series has robust stems and all the qualities for large production. However, it is more susceptible to temperature fluctuation, and therefore is more difficult to grow, so we recommend it rather for advanced gardeners. Iron Rose Pink is a rich shade of magenta pink.
All stocks have some plants with double flowers and some single. The ratio is different for every series. Iron has 55% double-flowered plants. We therefore recommend growing a bit more. But at our farm we also use the single ones, they are super unique.

Statice is a classic from grandma's garden, but also an evergreen of dried flowers. We grow statice by the hundreds! It is incredibly useful in bouquets as filler material and even undried lasts a long time in a vase. Once all the florets on the stem bloom, statice no longer wilts and is suitable for wreaths, corsages, boutonnieres. We have been looking for a true blue shade of statice for several years, most are always purplish, but QIS Pale Blue is the closest to blue of all. One plant produces at least 15 stems.
For drying, we harvest statice at the stage when the stem under the flower is firm and the entire inflorescence has bloomed. Just hang them upside down, in a dry and ventilated place, out of sunlight.

Dried, they look the same. However, the purple one has fresh pods that are dark green with a hint of burgundy. A classic of dried flowers; our grandmothers had gardens full of honesty. It blooms in spring just like sweet rocket or columbine, but the flowers aren't suitable for cutting. It pays to wait, and in summer you can harvest the first fruits. Honesty creates seeds wrapped in beautiful oval pods. We recommend harvesting them even when green; they look beautiful in bouquets! For drying, we harvest pods from which the seed casings are already naturally falling off. Just hang them upside down in a dry and ventilated place, out of sunlight.
