Foxglove is suitable for the back areas of perennial beds and does not require complex care. It can easily handle frosts down to minus twenty-eight degrees and does not suffer from pests. If you like to create bouquets, its sturdy stems will also please in a vase, where they stay fresh for six to eight days. Just remember that all parts of the plant are poisonous.

You will get an already grown seedling in a pot from us, which you simply transplant straight into the flowerbed in sun or partial shade. It is ideal to plant the plants about half a meter apart. Here it will soon form a dense clump of green leaves, from which sturdy stems up to ninety centimeters tall emerge, and they do not need any support. Although it is a short-lived perennial, it will make up for everything with its incredible persistence in blooming. Unlike other avens, the Totally Tangerine variety starts its blooming season a little later, but in return, it will delight you without a break from May to September. The semi-double flowers also gradually transition into a deep salmon to dark peach color and are a literal magnet for bees, bumblebees, and butterflies. In a flowerbed, it functions excellently as a filler plant, nicely connecting other perennials with its neutral structure. You will also enjoy the blooming avens at home. It is excellently suited for cutting into summer bouquets. We recommend cutting the stems when a quarter to half of the flowers on the branch are already open. They will then last about a week in a vase and gently liven up any arrangement. Although it is not suitable for drying, it will do a lot of work in the flowerbed even through winter, when its foliage and remains of stems create an interesting winter effect under frost or snow.

The clumps of leaves will gradually intertwine and create a natural ground cover. The 'Mango Lassi' variety is exceptional with its ruffled apricot flowers that appear from spring until the first days of autumn. The radiant and moreover edible blooms act as a valuable food source for bees and butterflies. The short-lived geum bravely resists frosts, does not suffer from diseases or pests, and does not need support, so it will bring joy even to complete beginners. In a vase, it stays fresh for about seven days. We do not recommend drying it, but the plant fully compensates for this with its basal leaves, which provide an engaging winter effect in the flowerbed.

Rock rose Bronzeteppich is the unassuming hero of rockeries and dry walls, which literally lights up in full sun. The original botanical species of these subshrubs can be found on sunny and rocky hillsides, where they can cope even with very poor and well-drained soil. Exactly thanks to this origin, the rock rose is exceptionally resistant to drought and loves the sun's rays, which awaken a flood of its tiny flowers. In the garden, it functions as a great ground cover element that decorates flower beds with its evergreen leaves even in the winter months when most perennials rest underground. The Bronzeteppich variety, as the name suggests, creates dense carpets dotted with numerous flowers in a warm shade of terracotta and orange. It blooms gradually from May to July, becoming an irresistible attraction for bees and other pollinators, who find a rich source of food in its flowers. It grows only to a height of about twenty centimeters, so it is perfectly suited for the edges of flower beds or rockeries, where it fills the empty spaces between stones. Although it is not suitable for cutting into a vase or drying, its value in a living garden is irreplaceable. Care for it is minimal; just provide it with well-drained sandy soil and plenty of sun, and it will take care of the rest itself.

Avens Borisii will bring incredible energy to your flower beds thanks to its vibrant, orange color. The original species of this avens come from the mountain meadows of the Balkans and Asia Minor, where they grow in sunny or partially shaded habitats. In the garden, it is a rewarding and undemanding perennial that will please even beginning growers. It forms a basal rosette of fresh green leaves, which often persist through the winter and thus decorate the garden year-round. From May to July, stems carrying striking bowl-shaped flowers rise above the leaves. These are a great attraction for bees and other pollinators. Although it is a rather short-lived perennial, it definitely deserves its place in the garden for its beauty and low maintenance.
