The petals are slightly wavy and the bottom row of petals is lightly tinged with green.

Panicle hydrangeas are beautiful shrubs native to China and Japan, where their bark was used, among other things, to make paper. We grow them for their impressive conical inflorescences. In addition to its ornamental function, it is also useful – it attracts pollinators and its leaves are edible. If you like to be creative, you will appreciate it in cut bouquets, where it stays fresh for about ten days. It is equally well suited for drying; just harvest it in full bloom and hang it up, so it reminds you of summer even in the winter months.

It is a typical Mediterranean species that tolerates drought and heat well here, but not winter waterlogging. The wulfenii cultivar should be less sensitive to cold, but intolerance to winter waterlogging remains. Plant in protected places, e.g., in front of a warm house wall in Mediterranean-style beds. Floristically, it is valuable for its greenery and early flowering. Lasts 7–10 days in a vase. Beware of the milky sap in the stems, which can irritate the skin.

Eryngium yuccifolium catches the eye at first glance with its exotic appearance, which resembles a desert yucca more than a classic perennial. It originates from the steppe regions and light forests of the eastern USA, where it has learned to manage water excellently. Thanks to this, it is an ideal choice for sunny and dry locations with well-drained, even poorer sandy soil. It forms a basal rosette of stiff, blue-green to gray-green leaves, from which tall stems topped with spherical inflorescences grow in summer. The flowers are up to 2.5 cm in diameter and their color transitions from silvery white to greenish. The plant is very hardy and does not suffer from pests or diseases. Its flowers are literally a magnet for pollinators, especially bees and butterflies, who find plenty of food on them. In the garden, it acts as a striking structural element that, thanks to its evergreen leaves and sturdy stems, decorates the bed even in the winter months. For florists, this eryngium is a valuable material. The sturdy stems are easy to arrange, and the spherical flowers look great in fresh summer bouquets as well as in dried decorations, where they hold their shape for a long time.

Dwarf Lady's Mantle is a smaller and more elegant sister to the more famous Lady's Mantle. This charming perennial comes from the mountain meadows of Eastern Europe and the Caucasus, where it forms low cushions in rock crevices and on grassy slopes. It got its species name from its strikingly red-colored stems, which create a beautiful contrast with its grayish-green leaves. These have the ability to catch drops of morning dew or rain, which sparkle on them like little pearls, giving the plant a magical look. Thanks to its compact growth, reaching a height of only about 25 centimeters, it is an ideal choice for edging flowerbeds, for rockeries, or as an underplanting beneath taller perennials and roses. It blooms from May to July with a flood of tiny lime-yellow blossoms that will brighten up even the semi-shady corners of the garden. It is a completely undemanding plant suitable even for novice growers, it does not suffer from pests or diseases, and reliably handles even stronger frosts. In floristry, Lady's Mantle is valued as universal supplementary greenery. Its airy inflorescences add lightness and volume to bouquets, while staying fresh in a vase for a long time. Furthermore, the flowers can be perfectly dried and used in winter arrangements.

Green-leaved coral bells will reliably brighten up the partially shaded corners of your garden and bring life into them long into autumn. It naturally grows in light forests and on mountain slopes, so you will find the ideal place for it in partial shade or in the sun with well-draining and loamy soil. You will receive a mature seedling in a pot from us, which will quickly form a dense clump after transplanting. It belongs among very rewarding perennials that diseases and pests avoid, and it can deal with harsh conditions. The macrorrhiza variety is characterized by relatively large green leaves with a velvety surface. *Sanguisorba minor*, commonly known as salad burnet, is a perennial herb that brings the genuine charm of wild meadows and steppes to the garden. Its decorative leaves form dense clumps that remain green long into the winter and sprout very early in the spring. In nature, it seeks out sunny and dry habitats, often on limestone bedrock, which is why it will thrive best in the garden in well-drained soil in full sun or light partial shade. It is an exceptionally hardy plant that easily handles frosts down to -34 °C and does not suffer from any diseases or pests. The inflorescences in the form of tiny pea-green flower heads float on thin stems and add an interesting, fine texture to the planting. In addition to its aesthetic value, salad burnet also has practical uses in the kitchen, where its leaves with a delicate cucumber aroma refresh summer dishes. In garden architecture, it finds use in gravel beds, rockeries, or as an edging for pathways. Because of its undemanding nature and ability to grow even in poor conditions, it is a rewarding perennial that does not require support and reliably enlivens even the drier corners of the garden.

Larkspurs are a classic and at the same time a dominant feature among flower bed perennials. We often see them in the company of roses and peonies. To stand out well, they need to be given enough space and fertilization should not be forgotten. We can enjoy their beauty in flower beds, bouquets, and even try drying; the flowers retain their rich color well. They last 7 days in a vase; they are sensitive to ethylene released from ripening fruit. The 'Highlander' series comes from new Scottish breeding. It expands the color range and brings novel shapes. The flowers are incredibly full and individual petals are ruffled, which further reinforces the impression of fullness. They do not form seeds and should therefore be all the more vital. The flower is full, light purple with a greenish center.

Corsican hellebore will bring freshness to your winter and early spring garden with its unique coloration. Its flowers have a fascinating pistachio-green to yellowish color, which contrasts beautifully with the dark green, sharply serrated leaves. This robust perennial, native to the Mediterranean, behaves like an evergreen subshrub in our conditions and grows up to 80 cm tall. Thanks to its growth habit and architectural appearance, it is perfectly suited as a specimen plant or for the background of shady perennial beds, where it fills the space even when other plants are still sleeping. It requires well-drained, humus-rich soil and a location in partial shade or shade. The inflorescences often appear as early as January and keep adorning the plant until March. It is one of the few plants that offer food for insects at such an early time. If you want to enjoy its beauty indoors as well, you can cut the stems with flowers for a vase. However, for a longer vase life, it is necessary to wait until the flowers mature slightly and seed pods start to form in the center; otherwise, they tend to wilt. Given its southern origin, we recommend protecting the plant with a covering of evergreen branches during freezing days without snow so that the leaves retain their decorative value until spring. Remember that the whole plant is poisonous.

Euphorbia Miners Merlot is a dramatic element of any spring flowerbed that immediately grabs attention with its unusual coloring. This variety is characterized by deep burgundy to purple leaves that form a perfect contrast to the bright lime-green inflorescences appearing from April to June. The original botanical species of wood spurge naturally occurs in light forests and on their edges, so even in the garden, it will appreciate a location in the sun or partial shade with well-draining, humus-rich soil. Although it is more of a short-lived perennial, it will form dense clumps during its life that effectively fill the space between other plants and reach heights of up to 60 centimeters. It is a rewarding plant even for beginner gardeners because it does not suffer from diseases or pests and easily handles frosts down to -20 °C. Furthermore, the flowers are full of nectar, so in the spring they reliably attract bees and other pollinators. Miners Merlot is also perfectly suited for cutting into a vase, where its lime flowers add freshness and a modern look to bouquets. When handling the plant, however, extra caution is needed, and ideally, gloves should be used, as it exudes a white sap that is poisonous and can irritate the skin.

The perennial spurge schillingii, native to the mountainous regions of Nepal, is exactly the plant that works as a great base for more vibrant colors in a flower bed. You will receive from us a strong, rooted seedling in a pot, which you can simply transplant to a sunny spot with well-drained soil. Within a short time in the garden, it will form clumps roughly eighty centimeters to a meter high. It will certainly catch your attention with its narrow green leaves featuring a characteristic white central vein. But it puts on a real show from May to August, when it blooms with smaller lime-green and yellow flowers. These tones create a very fresh impression in the garden and perfectly soften and unify the overall composition. Thanks to its size and upright growth, it stands out best in the middle or back part of the flower bed. Although it is a species suitable for slightly more advanced gardeners, it does not need any complicated care during the season and reliably overwinters down to minus eighteen degrees. A great advantage is that pests avoid it by a wide margin, and it does not suffer from common diseases. If you like to create fresh bouquets, you will fall in love with spurge as universal greenery for a vase. Its unconventional inflorescence matches almost all summer flowers and will add novel volume to the arrangement. You just need to keep in mind that it is a toxic species, and when the stem is broken, an irritating white sap leaks out, so a little caution is definitely worthwhile during cutting and handling.
