Rudbeckia fulgida

Rudbeckia Goldsturm

Rudbeckias originate from North America and are robust, abundantly flowering perennials of late summer and autumn. They are suitable for prairie plantings with tall grasses as well as cottage gardens. The central cones look very effective after the seeds ripen and decorate perennial beds even through winter. Harvest for the vase as soon as they bloom. Vase life is 7 to 10 days. The dried central cones can also be used. Goldsturm is its most famous cultivar. The flowers are bright golden-yellow with dark centers. Show full description

Craspedia globosa

A cut flower perfectly suited for the job, but it looks famous in the flowerbed too! Craspedia forms a basal rosette of greyish, inconspicuous leaves, from which "antennae" peek out. Straight, strong stems have yellow balls at the ends. We recommend harvesting in the bud form, before they fully bloom. Green ones are also interesting, as they are neutral and fit into any color combination. For drying, harvest when they are colored up. Just hang them upside down in a dry, ventilated place, out of sunlight.

Echinacea purpurea

A classic among the whites; we've been growing it on the farm for several years now. Coneflower is a perennial, but don't worry, it's grown from seeds quite simply. Even growing it on in a pot is a breeze! Coneflower is a great cut flower and reproduces nicely. We also recommend drying the central parts for winter arrangements.

Warm pink, that is the shade of 'QIS Rose'. We love all flowers here that grow ready to be dried and are suitable for wedding crafting or any kind of arranging. And Globe amaranth belongs to this group. It is not a cut flower that breaks records. Its advantage lies in the flower, which is tiny and straw-like. For drying, we harvest colored, round heads in full bloom. Once the inflorescence starts to elongate, it is too late for drying. Just hang them upside down in a dry and ventilated place, away from sunlight.

Limonium sinuatum

Statice is a classic from grandma's garden, but also an evergreen of dried flowers. We grow statice by the hundreds! It is incredibly useful in bouquets as filler material and even undried lasts a long time in a vase. Once all the florets on the stem bloom, statice no longer wilts and is suitable for wreaths, corsages, boutonnieres. QIS Pastel is a beautiful sample of colors in tones of blue, violet, lavender and pink. One plant produces at least 15 stems. For drying, we harvest statice at the stage when the stem under the flower is firm and the entire inflorescence has bloomed. Just hang them upside down, in a dry and ventilated place, out of sunlight.

Cosmos bipinnatus

Kultivar Kiiro představuje neobyčejně okouzlující variantu velmi oblíbené klasické krásenky zpeřené. Její květy nepřetržitě září nevšedními odstíny pastelově žluté a bílé barvy, což z ní dělá výjimečný prvek pro každou letní zahradu. Rostlina vytváří vzdušné keříky s nitkovitými listy a dorůstá úctyhodné výšky 60 až 120 centimetrů. Klíčí ochotně a velmi rychle, obvykle během 4 až 8 dnů. Pro vytvoření košatější rostliny sazenice včas zaštipujte.

Larkspurs are spring beauties that are unmatched. But if you want to harvest them for cut flowers, you must be vigilant and harvest quickly before all buds open. Especially in the warm springs of recent years, they bloom quickly, so we sow several batches 14 days apart just to keep up with the harvest. Papaver paeoniflorum

Dark burgundy color is always trendy for wedding floristry. At the turn of spring and summer, large full flowers are missing. The last ranunculus fade and there is a lot of time left before the first Dahlias bloom. At our farm, it was always a struggle to find beautiful full and large flowers for bouquets at that time. But we succeeded! We filled the vacuum with China asters and peony-type poppies. These poppies reliably replace the peony, ranunculus, and Dahlia. You just have to keep in mind that they don't last long in bloom and need a little care to hold in a bouquet. We harvest a cracked bud, scald the ends of the stems for a few seconds in water, and let them finish blooming in a vase.

Lunaria annua

Dried, they look the same. However, the purple one has fresh pods that are dark green with a hint of burgundy. A classic of dried flowers; our grandmothers had gardens full of honesty. It blooms in spring just like sweet rocket or columbine, but the flowers aren't suitable for cutting. It pays to wait, and in summer you can harvest the first fruits. Honesty creates seeds wrapped in beautiful oval pods. We recommend harvesting them even when green; they look beautiful in bouquets! For drying, we harvest pods from which the seed casings are already naturally falling off. Just hang them upside down in a dry and ventilated place, out of sunlight.
