Limonium sinuatum

Statice is a classic from grandma's garden, but also an evergreen of dried flowers. We grow statice by the hundreds! It is incredibly useful in bouquets as filler material and even undried lasts a long time in a vase. Once all the florets on the stem bloom, statice no longer wilts and is suitable for wreaths, corsages, boutonnieres. QIS Pastel is a beautiful sample of colors in tones of blue, violet, lavender and pink. One plant produces at least 15 stems. For drying, we harvest statice at the stage when the stem under the flower is firm and the entire inflorescence has bloomed. Just hang them upside down, in a dry and ventilated place, out of sunlight.

Lagurus ovatus

A florist classic: the cute, velvety bunny tail grass. It is great for drying, but we think it looks most beautiful while still green. We use it to make wedding buttonholes, in wreaths, simply everywhere. One plant produces at least 20 stems. For drying, harvest when the flowers are fully developed but not yet dry and brown. Just hang them upside down in a dry, ventilated place out of direct sunlight.

Zinnia elegans

Shades of light, powder, and darker pink. A smaller Zinnia is very practical! The Oklahoma series has flowers 4-5 cm in size and is perfect for smaller floral projects like wreaths. Shades of darker and lighter salmon. One plant produces at least 10 flowers.

Antirrhinum majus

The lightest powder pink. A very trendy color, you will use it essentially in the arrangement of any wedding. Snapdragons of the Costa series bloom at the same time as the Maryland Snapdragon; they are early varieties suitable for lower temperatures. Their advantage lies in special shades like apricot or powder pink.

Antirrhinum majus

We fell so in love with Snapdragons at our farm that we have a plan for the whole year and Snapdragon harvests from spring to autumn, as each needs a different temperature. Maryland is quite a classic series of Snapdragons, the stems are long and robust. It blooms earlier than the similar Snapdragon series, Potomac. One plant produces one stem.

Callistephus chinensis

A new type of China aster on our farm that we fell in love with! Each plant is a little bush full of tiny, delicately scented flowers. We don't harvest them by individual flowers but as clusters with many little blooms. The flowers are tiny, almost double-flowered.

Scabiosa stellata

Some flower species look great even after blooming, and we harvest them on the farm too. But Scabiosa, Scabiosa is so beautiful that there is even a species not grown for the flower, but for drying as a pod. Scabiosa stellata blooms white, but it pays to persist and not harvest the flowers; what comes after them is much more beautiful than the flower. At the end of straight and strong stems are seeds arranged in a perfect little ball. Suitable for drying. For drying, we harvest mature seed heads, roughly from mid-July. Just hang them upside down in a dry and ventilated place, out of sunlight.

Aquilegia vulgaris

The Barlow series is our favorite Columbine because the flowers are double-flowered! We grow Columbines at our farm as annuals, so we sow new ones every year. This saves space and we achieve longer stems. We grow part of the Columbines in a polytunnel and thus manage the harvest for Mother's Day, when flowers are scarce. Black Barlow is a beautiful dark wine color.

Helipterum roseum

Paper daisy is our novelty this year and we like it very much! The plants are not very tall, 30-45 cm. It looks a bit like an anemone thanks to its dark centers and white petals. The flowers are smaller in size and straw-like, so they hold beautifully in wreaths, circlets, or other wedding pieces and do not wilt! For drying, we harvest flowers fully open, but not "overblown"; the centers of the flowers must not be turning brown. Just hang them upside down in a dry and ventilated place, away from sunlight.

Helichrysum bracteatum

Do you know blood orange? Those are exactly the shades of this Strawflower. Red, orange, yellow in all versions. The Strawflower is a classic from grandma's garden but also an evergreen of dried flowers. We love using them when arranging for weddings because they don't wilt. They are suitable for corsages, wreaths, and boutonnieres.

Antirrhinum majus

We fell so in love with Snapdragons at our farm that we have a plan for the whole year and Snapdragon harvests from spring right through to autumn, as each one needs a different temperature. Potomac is a fairly classic Snapdragon series; the stems are long and robust. It blooms later than the similar Snapdragon series, Maryland, and is suitable for higher temperatures here. Potomac Lavender is a warm purple color with light pink centers. One plant produces one stem.

Amaranthus cruentus

We recommend Amaranth of the 'QIS Tower' series! The stems are woody, strong with panicles resembling chubby dusters, unlike all other amaranths that form spikes. 'QIS Tower Red' has burgundy-brown leaves and pure burgundy tops.

Cosmos bipinnatus

Cosmos are our favorites, but we felt they lacked color variety. That's why Fandago thrilled us with its beautiful dark burgundy color. The flowers are single with fringed centers.

Tropaeolum majus

We know it’s not a classic cut flower. But it fits perfectly in beds, has beautiful colors, and is edible, so we forgive it. Nasturtium flowers have stems 15-20 cm long. So they are suitable for arranging in containers, tying small posies, or as cake decorations. Our Nasturtiums are not climbing, but bushy. Troika Yellow is a vibrant orange with red brushstrokes in the center.

Dianthus barbatus

Beautiful fragrance, long stems, and delicate flowers. The Carnation is our spring favorite. It has proven best for us to plant in the polytunnel already in autumn, then in spring you harvest a flood of meter-long stems. From spring sowings, stems are radically shorter. Dynasty "White Blush" features tiny white flowers with occasional delicate pink veining. From one plant you will harvest at least 10 full-sized stems.

Amaranthus cruentus

Greenery is a must! And Amaranthus is our evergreen. Coral Fountain is a cultivar of Amaranthus caudatus whose tassels don't grow upright, but instead cascade to the ground like a waterfall. And a coral-colored waterfall at that! It fits perfectly into bouquets, even if used in small amounts. It also looks interesting in a garden bed; it's definitely an annual that adds a special effect. Each plant produces one strong stem and up to five weaker side stems.

Cynoglossum amabile

✨ A color mix created at Loukykvět ✨ Chinese forget-me-not, a wonderful substitute for the forget-me-not! And now newly in a pink and blue color combination. If you can't decide which one you like more, this mix is a great choice. The blue is a very deep, unique blue, very rare among flowers. Compared to the classic water forget-me-not we all know, this species has robust and long stems perfectly suited for arranging. Easy to collect seeds.

Saponaria vaccaria

✨ Color mix created at Loukykvět ✨ An interesting name and an unusual flower resembling Baby's breath. And newly Vaccaria in a pink and white combination! A great choice if you can't decide on a single color. Vaccaria finishes flowering quickly, so we recommend several sowings in succession. You will harvest 3-4 stems from one plant.
