You can't imagine anything more meadow-like! It is a terrible shame that it can only be grown at lower temperatures. The Tall Double series is a fuller-flowered Cornflower than the one we see along the roadsides. Pinkie is a shade of light baby pink.

Eucalyptus (also known as gum tree) is one of the most requested greens and fillers in floristry ever, it is trendy! The color is silvery blue-green, which is such a combination that we are not surprised by its popularity at all. Eucalyptus Silver "Dollar" grows beautifully tall, the branches are more sparsely built. The leaves are larger and round in shape. The color of Silver Dollar is more silvery and thus in floristry fits rather into colder color combinations. For drying, we harvest as soon as the tips of the twigs are mature and the last leaves are firm. Just hang them upside down, in a dry and ventilated place, out of sunlight.

Large, double blooms are scarce at the turn of spring and summer. The last ranunculus have finished blooming, and there is still a long wait before the first Dahlias arrive. On our farm, it was always a struggle to find beautiful, large, double flowers for bouquets during this time. But we succeeded! We filled the gap with China asters and peony poppies. These poppies reliably replace peonies, ranunculus, and Dahlias. Just keep in mind that they don't flower for long and need a little care to last in a bouquet. Harvest when the bud has cracked, scald the stem ends in water for a few seconds, and let them finish blooming in the vase. The peony Poppy Salmon comes in a warm pink color.

Yarrow belongs to our best-selling cut flowers. Everyone loves it! Summer Pastels contains, besides white, other colors unseen in Yarrow, such as pastel yellow, light pink, or salmon. Yarrow is a perennial and spreads beautifully year after year, so plant with sufficient spacing.

These beauties love the heat, which is why we associate them mainly with late summer and early autumn. Searing helps with vase life: dip freshly cut stems for 3 minutes into 90°C water and then immediately into cold water. One plant produces at least 5 stems. Goldilocks is a double-flowered variety.

Bred feverfew, the inflorescence consists only of tubular florets, i.e., a center without ray florets or petals. Baya is a commonly grown species in Holland and sells great at the flower exchange. It is therefore professional seed, but don't worry, we tested it and it can be grown both outdoors and in a polytunnel; both work perfectly. Baya has oval-cut flowers with a line in the middle; the color is creamy white.

Foxglove is the princess and Snapdragon is the prince. At least in appearance. Noble, delicate and airy. It creates a beautiful effect in bouquets as well as in the flower bed. You achieve the longest stems when planting already in autumn, you then harvest meter-long pieces! New bells constantly bloom on the spike-like stems. Dalmatin Peach is a wonderful shade of light peach, which is a trendy color!

We fell so in love with Snapdragons at our farm that we have a plan for the whole year and Snapdragon harvests from spring right through to autumn, as each one needs a different temperature. Potomac is a fairly classic Snapdragon series; the stems are long and robust. It blooms later than the similar Snapdragon series, Maryland, and is suitable for higher temperatures here. Potomac Lavender is a warm purple color with light pink centers. One plant produces one stem.

We know it’s not a classic cut flower. But it fits perfectly in beds, has beautiful colors, and is edible, so we forgive it. Nasturtium flowers have stems 15-20 cm long. So they are suitable for arranging in containers, tying small posies, or as cake decorations. Our Nasturtiums are not climbing, but bushy. Troika Yellow is a vibrant orange with red brushstrokes in the center.

Greenery is a must! And Amaranthus is our evergreen. Coral Fountain is a cultivar of Amaranthus caudatus whose tassels don't grow upright, but instead cascade to the ground like a waterfall. And a coral-colored waterfall at that! It fits perfectly into bouquets, even if used in small amounts. It also looks interesting in a garden bed; it's definitely an annual that adds a special effect. Each plant produces one strong stem and up to five weaker side stems.

Pure splendor! We don't have nicer photos for this year because every year we cut the ornamental carrot down to the last stem and there is simply no time left for photos. Thin, strong stems and umbel inflorescences resembling dill at their ends. There are thousands of tiny flowers on each stem creating a veil or lace effect. It is a mixture of colors, where some flowers are pure white, but the majority are chocolate to burgundy with a touch of white.

Chrastavec makedonský je bohatě a dlouze kvetoucí nenáročná trvalka. Jeho divoká forma pochází z Balkánu, kde roste na loukách a v křovinách. Red Cherries v záhonech okouzluje štíhlými vysokými stonky, které nesou tmavě vínové květy. Hodí se do přírodně pojatých slunných až polostinných záhonů a do lučních kytic. 

Vijavka Purple Bells je nepřehlédnutelná popínavá letnička, která do zahrady vnese lehký dotek exotiky. Její domovinou jsou horské oblasti Mexika a bude spokojená na slunci i ve světlému polostínu. V dobrých podmínkách a s vhodnou oporou dokáže vyšplhat až do výšky tří metrů, takže snadno ozelení pergoly, mříže nebo treláže. Její největší ozdobou jsou květy. Od července až do října vytváří záplavu neobvyklých tmavě fialových trubkovitých květů, které doplňuje fuchsiově zbarvený kalich ve tvaru drobného deštníčku. Květy navíc po celou sezónu spolehlivě přitahují včely a další opylovače. Jelikož se jedná o rostlinu vysoce citlivou na mráz, pěstujeme ji u nás výhradně jako okrasnou letničku. Nejlépe se jí daří v humózní a dobře propustné půdě, kde ocení pravidelnou, ale nepřehnanou zálivku, aby substrát nebyl dlouhodobě přemokřený. Vijavka patří mezi druhy, které oceníte spíše přímo na záhonu nebo venkovní terase než ve váze, k řezu ani k sušení se totiž její křehké květy nehodí. Během růstu se vyplatí mladé rostlinky občas zaštípnout, čímž podpoříte jejich bohatší větvení a následně získáte hustší násadu nádherných květů. Pěstování ze semen potěší spíše pokročilejší a trpělivé pěstitele, ale konečný výsledek rozhodně stojí za trochu námahy. S výsevem je potřeba začít brzy, ideálně už v únoru nebo během března, aby měla rostlina dostatek času zesílit. Doba předpěstování se u tohoto druhu pohybuje kolem deseti až čtrnácti týdnů. Semínka klíčí při stálých teplotách osmnáct až dvacet stupňů a obvykle to trvá čtrnáct až jednadvacet dní. Důležité je drobný výsev nezasypávat zeminou, protože semena potřebují ke zdárnému klíčení přístup světla. Ven na finální stanoviště rostliny přesazujeme až ve chvíli, kdy už nehrozí absolutně žádné ranní mrazíky.

Hledík Potomac White, latinsky Antirrhinum majus, je letnička, která si vás získá svou elegancí a bohatou záplavou čistě bílých květů. Původně pochází ze slunného Středomoří, a proto na zahradě prospívá na plném slunci. Z drobných semínek, která vyséváme v období od ledna do srpna nebo v prosinci, vyrůstají vzpřímené stonky dosahující výšky šedesáti až sto padesáti centimetrů. Kvůli své výšce potřebuje rostlina oporu proti větru. Bílé květy přinášejí do záhonů lehkost a zjemňují výraznější barvy jiných rostlin. Hledík je velkým lákadlem pro včely a čmeláky, kteří se s oblibou noří do jeho hlubokých kalíšků. Potomac White je vynikající k řezu do letních i podzimních kytic. Dlouhé a pevné stonky dodají každé vazbě slavnostní vertikální strukturu a ve váze vydrží dlouho čerstvé. K sušení se nehodí, ale díky možnosti pěstování i ve fóliovníku vám bude čerstvými květy dělat radost od jara až do podzimu.
