Hint of Gold je mrazuvzdorný, přesto je vhodné ho na zimu u kořenů mírně přikrýt chvojím. Na jaře je potřeba provést hlubší zpětný řez, který podpoří hustotu keře a bohatou násadu květů na nových výhonech. Květy jsou doslova magnetem pro včely, čmeláky a další opylovače, pro které představují cenný zdroj nektaru v pozdním létě.
