Dahlia Café Au Lait is an absolute icon among dahlias and unrivaled as the best-selling item on our farm. Its huge flowers, often reaching the size of a dinner plate, cannot be overlooked. Our favorite collarette Dahlia (those are the ones with a center and a few petals, resembling a Cosmos or Daisy more) and no wonder! It fits beautifully into weddings! We are always looking for new varieties in dark burgundy, almost black, as it is a trendy wedding color. Black Jack is a serious candidate! The flowers are giant, and the petals are pointed. The leaves are captivatingly dark, so it delights not only in a vase but also in the flowerbed. It generally blooms as one of the last Dahlias; it takes its time. Therefore, we do not recommend it for higher altitudes; for farms, it is ideal to grow it in a polytunnel.
