Lippia citriodora

Lemon verbena, also known as aloysia, will immediately enchant you with its intense and refreshing lemon scent. It originally comes from the warm regions of South America, and therefore it requires full sun and well-drained soil in our climate too. Because it only tolerates frosts down to minus twelve degrees, it is most often grown here as a portable container plant that you hide in a cooler, bright room for the winter. You will receive a grown seedling in a pot from us, which you just need to transplant into a larger container or a protected flowerbed. During July and August, the plant blooms with tiny white flowers, which act as a reliable attraction for bees and other pollinators. Verbena does not suffer from pests or diseases, so even beginners can handle growing it. Since the seventeenth century in Europe, it has been used as a valuable source of essential oils for perfume production. You can harvest the green leaves and use them as a culinary herb in summer dishes or as a fragrant addition to teas. Aromatic sprigs can also be cut and added to summer bouquets.

Geum chiloense

Avens Tempest Scarlet brings a flood of vibrant colors and spring freshness to the garden. The original species of avens grow in moister but well-drained meadows and light forest edges, which is why they thrive best here in sun or partial shade in humus-rich loamy soil. You will receive an already rooted seedling in a pot from us, which you can easily transplant straight to your chosen spot. Avens are generally very undemanding plants, do not need any support, and effortlessly withstand frosts down to minus twenty-eight degrees. The Tempest Scarlet cultivar was bred in Scotland and stands out with the deep scarlet color of its semi-double, slightly ruffled flowers, which bloom on long branched stems from May to July. After a summer break, it will often delight you with another blooming in the autumn. With its clumping growth, it will eventually form a nice ground cover, and its flowers attract bees and butterflies. It is an excellent perennial for mixed flowerbeds as well as for cutting. We harvest the stems for bouquets as soon as about a quarter to half of the flowers are open. It will stay beautiful in a vase for about seven days, but it is not suitable for drying. Common pests and diseases avoid it, making it an ideal choice for complete beginners.

Anethum graveolens

Dill is an indispensable annual whose fragrance belongs to summer. It originates from the Mediterranean and the Middle East, where it grows in sunny locations. In our gardens, it thrives best in direct sun in well-draining, humus-rich soil with moderate watering. You will receive a grown seedling in a pot from us, which you simply transplant directly to your chosen spot with a spacing of about forty centimeters. The plant grows to a height of fifty to one hundred centimeters. Dill appreciates slight shading of its roots, so it does excellently in mixed plantings together with vegetables and ornamental perennials. During the summer, it forms striking umbels composed of tiny yellow edible flowers. These are a strong attraction for beneficial insects and reliably attract pollinators. It is a completely undemanding plant for beginners, and it does not suffer from pests or diseases. You can use the sturdy stems for cutting into fresh summer bouquets, or you can easily dry them for floristry purposes. In suitable places, it will maintain itself through natural self-seeding.

Ocimum basilicum herbalea

Ajaka basil is a newer and very robust variety that will bring not only an amazing fragrance but also unexpected beauty to your herb garden. Classic basil comes from the warm and sunny regions of Asia, which is why even here it requires a warm, sun-drenched location and well-draining soil. It excellently handles the whims of summer weather and is highly resistant to common diseases and pests. Even beginners can playfully manage its cultivation. We will supply you with a grown seedling in a pot that just needs to be transplanted into the garden bed, ideally with a spacing of fifty centimeters. It grows to a height of up to forty centimeters and forms dense, beautifully green bushes with an excellent ability to regenerate. The more of its leaves you harvest, the better it will branch out. Furthermore, from June to September, this annual will surprise you with a flood of tiny pink flowers that reliably attract bees and bumblebees. The pink inflorescences serve perfectly as a fragrant element in smaller bouquets. Both the green leaves and flowers are fully edible, so you will gladly use them to flavor your culinary specialties.

Stipa tenuissima

Feather grass flowers capture attention in beds and bouquets with their lightness and delicacy. All feather grasses love full sun and dry, stony, well-drained soil. To look most natural in beds, it is good to plant them in loose groups of several pieces together with other drought-loving perennials and bulbs. Only then do their stems and inflorescences, set in motion by the slightest breath of wind, truly stand out. Stipa 'Ponny Tails' is a species native to the steppes of Mexico, Texas, and Patagonia. Airy, dense clumps of hair-like delicate leaves resemble horsehair. The leaves are green, turning up to straw-colored towards the flowers. In a suitable location, it also self-seeds.

Gypsophila paniculata

Paniculate baby's breath is originally a plant from the sandy steppes and slopes of southern Europe and central Asia, which has been grown in botanical gardens since the 18th century. Since the mid-19th century, it has also become naturalized in private gardens and became a classic cut perennial. In the garden, it applies excellently in modern-style steppe beds with grasses and drought-tolerant perennials, to which it adds airiness and lightness. The 'Flamingo' cultivar boasts a flood of tiny double flowers in a tender pink color, which last on the plant from July to September. The plant requires full sun and very well-drained, ideally sandy soil, because its deep taproots cannot stand winter dampness. Thanks to them, however, it resists drought excellently and is fully frost-resistant. For florists, baby's breath is indispensable, whether for fresh summer bouquets or for drying, as it retains its shape and color even after drying.

Echinacea pallida

The pale coneflower is one of the exceptionally interesting prairie perennials of the North American continent. In its natural environment, it grows on open, sunny plains, which is why it thrives best in our gardens in full sun in drier, well-drained soil. You just need to transplant this grown seedling straight into the flower bed, where it will reliably take root. It does not need support, easily withstands severe frosts, and is avoided by common diseases and pests, making it ideal for beginner growers. During June and July, it will reward you with aromatic flowers with unusually narrow and drooping petals in light purple and pink tones. The prominent prickly centers are literally a magnet for bees and bumblebees, and the flowers themselves are surprisingly edible. The plant stands out especially in rustic plantings together with ornamental grasses. Gardeners and florists love it for its versatility. The fresh stems bring joy in a vase for about a week. Moreover, the distinctive central cones hold their shape perfectly, can be perfectly dried for winter decorations, or left in the flower bed, where they will create an eye-catching winter structure under a layer of snow.

Mentha arvensis

Strawberry mint is an absolute must-have herb for anyone who loves fresh scents and is looking for reliable greenery for the garden. Naturally, these aromatic perennials grow in the damper regions of the temperate zone along watercourses and on light woodland edges. For this reason, they also thrive best in the garden in humus-rich and loamy soil that can retain stable moisture. They do best in full sun or light partial shade, where they completely survive even very harsh winters with temperatures dropping to minus twenty-eight degrees without any problems. From us, you will receive a strong and grown seedling in a pot, which you just need to transplant to your chosen spot in an herb or perennial bed. It is ideal to place the plants with a spacing of around forty centimeters so they have enough space for their vital growth. Mints are well-known perennials and herbs, used in floristry as fragrant greenery. Strawberry mint is a perennial with a delicate strawberry and menthol scent, forming dense clumps of green leaves reaching a height of up to sixty centimeters. It is absolutely ideal for growing even for complete beginners, does not suffer from diseases, and does not need any complicated care. The only thing it is occasionally good to watch out for is a tiny pest, the mint leaf beetle. From July to the end of September, it blooms with tiny purple flowers, which act as a literal magnet for bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. If you like creating your own bouquets, you will certainly appreciate its stems for cutting. It will bring volume and an unmistakable fragrance to a vase and also serves well for drying for floristic purposes. Furthermore, you can safely use the green leaves in the kitchen, as the entire plant is edible and wonderfully livens up summer drinks.

Dicentra spectabilis Alba

The original home of bleeding hearts is Korea and China, where they grow in light deciduous forests. They are classic garden perennials. They will look perfect in nostalgically styled flower beds; the white variant fits well even into naturalistic woodland gardens. They are popular for their heart-shaped flowers hanging on horizontal or arching stems. These weaken and die back some time after flowering; all the plant's energy then concentrates in the roots, and at that moment, we can cut the above-ground part back completely. For the rest of the year, we won't even know the bleeding heart is in the garden. It will remind us of its charm again in the spring. Perfect vase life, at least 7 days. Harvest when the first 3–4 flowers open on the stem. Alba has beautiful pure white flowers; the shoots sprouting in spring are light lime green.

Coriandrum sativum

Coriander is a popular annual for all lovers of diverse gastronomy, from Asian and Indian to Latin American cuisine. It originates in the warm regions of the Middle East and the Mediterranean, where it grows in sunny and drier places. The history of this herb is shrouded in mystery; in the Middle Ages, it was an important ingredient in love potions, and in ancient China, it was even worshipped as a plant of immortality. You will receive a grown seedling in a pot from us, which you simply transplant directly into the garden at your chosen spot. It will thrive best in full sun with humus-rich and well-draining soil, where it has adequate watering. In the garden bed, it grows to a height of around forty to sixty centimeters and forms fresh green, distinctly aromatic leaves. These are popular for their unmistakable culinary use, where they enrich many recipes. During June and July, tiny white flowers arranged in delicate umbels appear above the clump of leaves. These flowers act as a great attraction for bees, bumblebees, and other pollinators. Growing coriander is very undemanding; it does not suffer from common diseases or pests, so even beginners can handle the care. Maintain a planting distance of about forty centimeters. Although coriander is grown mainly as an herb, its delicate white inflorescence also has a firm place in floristry. It is excellent for cutting into summer bouquets, giving them a natural and airy look in a vase. If you leave the flowers in the bed until autumn, you can later harvest the aromatic seeds as well, which will perfectly complement your home spice collection.

Phlox paniculata

Phlox is originally a perennial native to North America. It soon achieved great popularity in European gardens and has been systematically bred since the 19th century. It is a classic perennial for cutting into bouquets, where, in addition to colorful flowers, it also delights with a gentle fragrance. We harvest as soon as roughly half the flowers in the inflorescence have bloomed; then they last up to 10 days in a vase. Despite efforts to breed the most resistant cultivars, it remains true that Phlox reacts extremely sensitively to climate and soil conditions, so we carefully pay attention to the correct choice of site. The Sweet Summer series includes cultivars bred for greater resistance to fungal diseases. Sweet Summer Ocean is a very special cultivar introduced to the market in 2012. It is characterized by the color variability of flowers during the day. In cool mornings, the flowers are blue; as temperatures rise, they fade, and by noon they transition to purple-pink.

Dahlia

The 'Sweet Nathalie' dahlia won us over with its incredibly delicate color palette, from the lightest pastel pink to a creamy center. Thanks to this, it was one of the most used dahlias for weddings. It has perfectly shaped flowers and rounded petals. As a result, the whole plant has a very tender impression, which is further accentuated by the contrasting dark stems. The flowers reach a size of around 10 to 13 centimeters, and even in full bloom, they do not close into a complete ball, but rather maintain a hemisphere shape with a flat back.

Brunnera macrophylla

The largeleaf brunnera comes from the moist mountain forests of the Caucasus, where it forms dense undergrowth. It is an ideal perennial for shady and semi-shady corners of your garden, where it will thrive in humus-rich, moist soil. It resembles classic forget-me-nots in appearance, but don't be fooled, its leaves are much larger, heart-shaped, and rough to the touch. Thanks to them, it acts as a great groundcover plant that sprouts early in the spring and reliably covers bare soil with its leaves until late autumn. It thus forms a natural contrasting background for the delicate, tiny flowers. Tiny sky-blue flowers appear in April, May, and June, creating a beautiful delicate veil over the green carpet of leaves. The flower clusters are also suitable for cutting into spring hand-tied bouquets, where they look very tender. Just watch out for snails and slugs, who like to feast on the juicy leaves of the brunnera, so it's a good idea to check the plants regularly. It is a long-lived and hardy perennial that handles severe frosts without problems and will bring you joy in one place for many years.

Gaura lindheimeri

Gaura Siskiyou Pink is a charming perennial that brings lightness and airiness to the garden. Its original native area is in the warm regions of Texas and Louisiana, which is why it thrives in full sun and well-drained sandy soil. It grows in clumps and from June until the autumn frosts produces tiny raspberry-pink flowers that resemble fluttering butterflies. An interesting detail of this variety is the green leaves with a bronze tint and red spots. It is an absolutely undemanding plant, does not suffer from diseases or pests, and even beginners can handle its care. You will receive a grown seedling in a pot from us, which you simply need to transplant directly into the flowerbed. Here it complements ornamental grasses perfectly and acts as an attraction for bees and bumblebees. Although it grows more as a short-lived perennial in our climate, in a suitable place it reliably self-seeds. Occasional pinching will encourage richer branching. Gaura is excellent for summer bouquets. We cut the stems for a vase as soon as the first two to three little flowers open.

Astilbe simplicifolia

Delicate decorative, long-lived shade-loving perennials with pinnate leaves and magnificent feathery inflorescences. They originate primarily from East Asia, but also from eastern North America. They look best in large-scale plantings. Due to relatively late sprouting, it is good to combine them with early-flowering bulbs. They last 4–10 days in a vase. We harvest as soon as half of the inflorescence is in bloom. They are very sensitive to ethylene released from ripening fruit. Anita Pfeifer has pink flowers.

Mentha spicata

Mentha spicata, known as Moroccan mint, will bring not only a wonderful fragrance to your garden but also a piece of honest herbalist tradition. In the wild, it seeks out slightly moist habitats in partial shade, but it can also handle direct sun without problems. At your home, it will thrive best in humous and loamy soil with plenty of moisture. We will deliver an already mature seedling in a pot, which you can easily transplant to the flowerbed after unpacking. The plant grows to a height of up to sixty centimeters and is extremely resistant to severe frost and common diseases, so it brings joy without unnecessary effort. It will require your attention perhaps only in the event of an unexpected occurrence of the mint leaf beetle. It is an indispensable part of fragrant herbal compositions, but it will also fit perfectly alongside other ornamental perennials. Throughout the summer, stems with tiny purple flowers rise from the clumps. These not only look nice but attract a wide range of pollinators from bees to colorful butterflies. Its fresh green and highly aromatic leaves are edible and directly invite use in the summer kitchen. Gardeners and florists swear by it. The stems of Moroccan mint are excellent for cutting into live arrangements, giving them an unmistakable scent and delicate structure. Brunnera sibirica

Siberian bugloss is a hardy perennial that is unfazed even by the shady corners of the garden where other plants fail to thrive. It earned its name thanks to its tiny blue flowers, which are very similar to classic forget-me-nots and bloom in April and May. Unlike its more famous relative, the largeleaf bugloss, this species spreads a bit more vigorously and forms dense stands. Thanks to its underground rhizomes, it works as a great groundcover plant that reliably suppresses weeds under trees or shrubs. Once the plant finishes blooming, all its energy moves into the large, deep green heart-shaped leaves, which quickly grow to their final size. It is an ideal choice for beginners because it handles heavier clay soils excellently and tolerates short-term drought. Furthermore, the flowers are suitable for cutting into spring tied bouquets, where they look very tender and add lightness to the arrangement.

Thalictrum delavayi

Meadow rue will reliably bring extraordinary lightness and delicate structure to any garden. Its original homeland is the mountain plains and edges of thickets in western China, where it naturally grows alongside other tall perennials. Despite its fragile appearance, it is a very resilient plant that thrives best in partial shade or sun, in well-drained loamy and humous soil with regular watering. You will receive an already grown seedling in a pot from us, which you just need to transplant straight into the flowerbed. Once established, it handles even severe frosts dropping below thirty degrees without problems. Moreover, caring for it is so easy that even complete beginners can easily manage it. The plant is avoided by pests and diseases, and it needs no support to reach a height of over one meter. The spectacular look of meadow rue is ensured not only by its tiny pinnate leaves but primarily by the flowers themselves. These grow from mid-summer to autumn in loose panicles on thin, purplish-colored stems. The individual small flowers have a delicate lilac shade with yellow stamens conspicuously protruding from them. In flowerbeds, they provide a beautiful airy lace effect that perfectly complements the heavier and fuller flowers of other perennials. During the long flowering period, bees and other pollinators fondly land on the plant. Although the entire plant is poisonous, it has an irreplaceable place in the garden. If you enjoy creating fresh bouquets, meadow rue will guaranteed please you. Harvest stems full of tiny flowers for the vase, which will add an unusual delicacy to the arrangement and stay fresh in water for about seven days. The plant is not suitable for drying.
