You will receive an already rooted seedling in a pot from us, which you can easily transplant straight to your chosen spot. Avens are generally very undemanding plants, do not need any support, and effortlessly withstand frosts down to minus twenty-eight degrees. The Tempest Scarlet cultivar was bred in Scotland and stands out with the deep scarlet color of its semi-double, slightly ruffled flowers, which bloom on long branched stems from May to July. After a summer break, it will often delight you with another blooming in the autumn. With its clumping growth, it will eventually form a nice ground cover, and its flowers attract bees and butterflies. It is an excellent perennial for mixed flowerbeds as well as for cutting. You will get an already grown seedling in a pot from us, which you simply transplant straight into the flowerbed in sun or partial shade. It is ideal to plant the plants about half a meter apart. Here it will soon form a dense clump of green leaves, from which sturdy stems up to ninety centimeters tall emerge, and they do not need any support.
Although it is a short-lived perennial, it will make up for everything with its incredible persistence in blooming. Unlike other avens, the Totally Tangerine variety starts its blooming season a little later, but in return, it will delight you without a break from May to September. The semi-double flowers also gradually transition into a deep salmon to dark peach color and are a literal magnet for bees, bumblebees, and butterflies. In a flowerbed, it functions excellently as a filler plant, nicely connecting other perennials with its neutral structure.
You will also enjoy the blooming avens at home. It is excellently suited for cutting into summer bouquets. We recommend cutting the stems when a quarter to half of the flowers on the branch are already open. They will then last about a week in a vase and gently liven up any arrangement. Moreover, these enchanting flowers reliably attract pollinators from far and wide. It is typical for Oriental poppies that their strikingly fuzzy green leaves die back soon after flowering. The plant takes a break over the warmest summer to gather strength, and a smaller portion of the leaves often sprouts again only at the end of summer. Therefore, it is ideal to plant the poppy in the flower bed in close proximity to other perennials that sprout slightly later and naturally fill the empty space left by the resting poppy. It avoids diseases and needs no support, reaching a height of around sixty to eighty centimeters. Just watch out for field voles, which might develop a taste for its fleshy roots. Otherwise, it is a long-lived plant that even a complete beginner can handle without worries. Given that the plant is poisonous, it is naturally not intended for consumption. The giant white flowers are also a great attraction for lovers of cut flowers, although they require a little trick. Similar to other poppies, the stems need to be harvested exactly at the moment when the buds begin to color and slightly crack. Right after cutting, we sear the ends of the stems with a flame for about twenty seconds to prevent sap leakage, and then we put them into cold water. Thanks to this procedure, they will stay beautiful for about four days in a vase and add amazing lightness to bouquets. Although these delicate flowers are not suitable for drying, they simply have no competition in fresh spring bouquets.

Kuklík Tempest Scarlet je dodáván jako silná, plně prokořeněná sazenice, která je připravena k okamžité výsadbě na trvalé stanoviště. Pro dosažení co nejbohatšího kvetení doporučujeme vybrat místo na plném slunci, případně v lehkém polostínu. Půda by měla být ideálně hlinitá, dostatečně humózní a propustná. Při výsadbě do volné půdy dodržujte doporučený spon třicet centimetrů. Dostatečný prostor mezi jednotlivými sazenicemi zajistí dobré proudění vzduchu, což funguje jako přirozená a velmi účinná prevence proti padlí. Právě padlí se může výjimečně objevit, pokud je výsadba příliš hustá nebo pokud se v půdě dlouhodobě drží nadbytečná voda.
Tato trvalka vyniká karmínovými květy, které můžete obdivovat ve dvou vlnách. Hlavní doba kvetení probíhá od května do července, druhá vlna pak přichází na podzim během září a října. Abyste rostlinu motivovali k další tvorbě poupat, vyplatí se průběžně odstraňovat odkvetlé výhony. Kuklík Tempest Scarlet je výborný i k řezu do letních kytic. Stonky stříhejte ve chvíli, kdy jsou květy rozvité zhruba z jedné čtvrtiny, ve váze vám pak vydrží krásné přibližně týden. Pokud chcete udržet rostlinu v dobré kondici po mnoho let, pamatujte na to, že jde o krátkověkou trvalku. Její životnost snadno prodloužíte tím, že trs po dvou až třech letech zmladíte – stačí jej vyjmout z půdy, rozdělit a znovu zasadit.
Velkou výhodou tohoto druhu je možnost úspěšného pěstování v nádobách a truhlících. Aby se kuklíku v květináči dařilo, stačí dodržet několik základních pravidel:
- Zvolte nádobu s odtokovými otvory a na dno nasypte drenáž, například keramzit.
- Použijte kvalitní propustný substrát a zálivku udržujte pouze mírnou až střední.
- Substrát nechte mezi zaléváním na povrchu lehce proschnout, přelití kořenům nesvědčí.
- Během sezóny můžete do zálivky občas přidat tekuté hnojivo pro kvetoucí rostliny.
S příchodem zimy nečekají pěstitele žádné starosti, protože kuklík je plně mrazuvzdorný a bez potíží snese teploty klesající až k -28 °C. Vyhnou se mu také běžní škůdci a netrpí na choroby, takže jde o naprosto bezproblémového společníka, kterého hravě zvládne pěstovat i úplný začátečník.

Water avens is a charming native perennial that inherently belongs to moist meadows and stream banks. In the garden, it thrives best in loamy or clay soil that retains plenty of moisture. It grows excellently in both full sun and partial shade. You will receive a well-rooted seedling in a pot from us, which you simply transplant into the flower bed, where it will soon form a nice ground cover. From May to July, it blooms with semi-double flowers on stems thirty to sixty centimeters tall. They have a cup-like shape and play with pastel yellow, dusty pink, and cream shades with a purplish calyx. Calamint Blue Cloud
Lesser calamint Blue Cloud is an undemanding and modest perennial that reliably perfumes any sunny garden. Its original homeland is the sunny and dry slopes of Southern Europe, which is why it thrives best here in direct sun in well-drained, sandy, or poorer loamy soil. It handles winter without problems, tolerating frosts down to minus twenty-three degrees. You will receive a grown seedling in a pot from us, which you just need to transplant straight into the flowerbed, where it will very soon form a compact, airy small shrub reaching a height of up to forty centimeters. It does not suffer from any diseases or pests, so even complete beginners can easily handle caring for it. Throughout late summer and into autumn, it blooms with a record number of tiny blue flowers that are so typical of the Blue Cloud variety. The whole plant emits a pleasant minty-spicy scent, and its flowers, which resemble thyme, act as a literal magnet for bees, bumblebees, and butterflies. It will look great among roses or in naturally designed steppe flowerbeds, where it naturally complements lower ornamental grasses. Additionally, both the blue flowers and green leaves are edible, so you can use them to garnish summer dishes. Lesser calamint is also excellently suited for cutting into smaller fresh bouquets, adding a fine structure to them in a vase.

Calamint
An undemanding and modest perennial that blooms with a large number of tiny flowers. It blooms for a record-breaking length of time throughout late summer and autumn. It forms smaller, compact, airy bushes that release a minty-spicy scent. The thyme-like flowers attract bees, bumblebees, and butterflies. It will look good among roses as well as in naturalistic steppe beds, perhaps with lower grasses. This calamint is generally more vigorous. It differs from other calamints with felted leaves by its record flowering length, stiff and shiny leaves, and also a larger number of flowers that do not form seeds and are therefore maximally durable. Sometimes sold under the cultivar name 'Triumphator'.
